I just read this review and am shocked!
In fact it was a nice bunch of ladies in their sixties, except the one who all the time made fuzz... Miss Edith!,
At a certain age one cannot be blamed for the fact they didn't read the description of our Kinkala Villa well. Contrary, we have to run a business, and in our descriptions are all the distances correctly mentioned, also the distance to Chiang Mai city center, which is 25 kilometers, or depending traffic 20 minutes! As a result, we couldn’t honor their request for refund of the rental sum, simply because we kept Kinkala Villa in reservation for the ladies from (phone number hidden) until arrival on (phone number hidden), and the description of Kinkala Villa is completely correct.
Moreover, we did try to discuss transport before arriving and due to the high season; despite their reply was that it would be arranged at arrival. Once arrived, we took care and mediated by the rental of a car, which resulted into a brand new car with only 500 kilometers on the teller, and at the sharpest price in the car rental market , even if their stay was in the middle of the high season, where rental cars are hard to be find. On request we even invested in a GPS, not to be used afterwards. As a result, it was not correct to call our location "In the middle of nowhere", meanwhile it is at a paradisiacal spot just 20 minutes out of town!
A fact is... to reach the many touristic attractions or to play golf, one has to travel, no matter if the tourist is located in the city center, or in a sub-urban. I this case, three of the most important golf courses in Chiang Mai are located closer to our paradisiacal location, as to the city center. Don’t forget, staying in the city center has its very own inconveniences, like noise of traffic, bars and restaurants, mosquitos, dirt, etc. And again… the best restaurants of Chiang Mai are to be found in the sub urbans.
At departure was mentioned that the heater of one shower room did not work correctly. We did explain that it handles a direct heater, which only works opening the shower faucet and as a result one cannot open the faucet completely to get real hot water.
Anyway, we hope their holiday resulted in positive remembrance, if only it would be due the friends they made like Carol and Sue, who did take care as well.
We send Miss Maureen, as well as Miss Diane and Miss Lynn our best regards, and wish all of them a long and happy life!
Carlos and Dirk

We love to live in the peaceful environment of the Sankamphaeng area... which is just 20 minutes in car away from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai city or Chiang Mai International Airport.
I live here with my Spanish friend Carlos and we are both very happy with our life stock of Blue, Green and White Peafowls, Black Swans, Sacred Ibises and Caroline Ducks. Of course we do not forget our Siamese Cats... in fact this fills the greatest part of our life. We are real home-lovers which means that traveling around we hardly do.
