Very clean, comfortable, and breezy second floor space with distant ocean views. Pieces by local artists in every room and plenty of musical instruments await your stay. Centrally located: 25 minutes to North Shore, Kailua, or Waikiki. Directly on bus lines or off street parking available. Comfortably fits 2 people.
Quiet, calm, safe, and relaxed...
Several bus routes very close!
Rental cars can greatly help your ability to see the entire island and usually are $15-30/day :)
Off street parking is available for $10 extra a day or there is ample off street parking. On site guest parking is available till midnight. Very safe neighborhood.
15 mins driving from the airport, direct bus lines from airport available at $2.50 (they only allow reasonable sized carry on bags), cab is usually around $40, and I can pick you up (with advance notice) for $20.
Since it's a quiet neighborhood, late night partying outside on the lanai is not desired; however, movies and music inside at any hour is fine. Use of kitchen is encouraged; however, I keep it very clean so I expect people will leave it how they found it. It's not fun to have to clean up someone's mess just so you can make some food.
Our experience was very good. The apartment is in the "Villages" Complex. Love the coded entry as it makes it really convenient. Neighborhood is very quiet, and very safe. We initially chose to stay here as it was super convenient to the swim meet at the Veterans Memorial Pool that we were attending. It sure beats having to drive into Waikiki through the awful traffic.
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
It's really a quiet and decent neighborhood and not far away from the main road as well. It's a pity that we don't have a chance to meet Sean, but the details he left for us are really helpful and it's so considerate of him to let us use his parking spot. Thanks a lot!
this was my first time using airbnb and Sean made it such a great and memorable one! The apartment is just as it is in his picture, the place is super clean and cozy, and he is just so helpful!! The location of his home is simply perfect it is pretty much 30 minutes away from everything. finding the listing from the airport was very easy and Sean even helped us with our bags. Sean made this a great first experience and we will deff be staying here next time we come to Hawaii!!
We had a pleasant and relaxing stay at Sean's house. He was very easy going, and though he was busy preparing for some upcoming job related activities, he did find time to engage in friendly and informative conversations. He let us use some of his homes "furnishings" (in addition to the things in the airbnb listing) and we were thankful for that as well.
There wasn't an overabundance of dishes, bowls, towels, etc, but there was enough for our stay.
Overall, we were quite happy with our stay at Sean's condo.
This was our first time using airbnb and Sean was a a great host. We felt very welcome while staying at Sean's and were made to feel as though we were at home. As others have mentioned Sean is a busy guy and we often had the condo to ourselves. Sean always accommodated any need or concerns we had promptly. As a host Sean exceeded expectations. The neighbourhood is a clean, safe and well maintained residential area with plenty of shops and restaurants. Any active visitors will appreciate and enjoy the walking/jogging trails and nearby parks. As experienced visitors to Oahu and Hawaii we can truly appreciate the benefit of this central location as we were able to drive to Waikiki or the north shore easily. Staying at Sean's and in Waipio you can experience Oahu as a local and not just as a tourist. The room was very spacious and accommodates 2 people easily (felt much bigger than the picture!) Parking was free on the street outside the condo and as tourists that have stayed in Waikiki this saved us an enormous amount of money well spent else where. We look forward to staying again in future as the location, price and host are unmatched.
Clean, conscientious, and easy going musician/psychologist from Oahu. Amateur chef/brewer and avid outdoors man. Stimulating conversations and hearing other's stories intrigues me. I travel simply and am always interested in giving and/or receiving insider information of where the best places to get a "local experience" are. When I travel I like to immerse myself in what it may be like to live there.
