Interaction with Guests
I do my best to be home to welcome every guest and show them around upon checking in. I live here too, so will generally be available to talk with or answer any questions guests may have.
The house is conveniently located with just a 5 minute walk to Princeville Center where you can find shops, restaurants, a bus stop, supermarket, gas station, post office, library, park, banking facilities, and more. There is a volleyball court, basketball court, and large green area literally right next door to the house and you will find beaches, hikes, surf spots, and other outdoor activities within half a mile.
Princeville is home to the #1 rated golf course in Hawaii and is located on over 350 acres of fairways, trees and stunning ocean and mountain views. The closest hole is just a block away.
I would highly recommend renting a car while visiting Kaua'i. There is a public bus service that stops just 5 minutes walk away from my house, but if you are wanting to explore beaches, snorkeling spots, and hikes, you will not be able to do so using the bus as it only stops in towns.
In true Hawaiian style, please take off your shoes and wash off any sand or mud outside before entering the home.
Quiet hours: 10pm - 7am. You can come and go from the house as you please, but must remain quiet during quiet hours.
No smoking on property. No visitors.
Clean up after yourselves and show respect and courtesy to everyone in the house.
Mahalo (Thank You)
Princeville is a planned golf community, which makes it feel pretty sterile and suburban. You could be anywhere so it doesn't 'feel' like Hawaii. However, It is a convenient location to access lots of great destinations and you can get in and out of the area easily.
We didn't read the fine print well enough and were surprised the kitchen was open only 7-10 a.m. so we didn't plan our meals as we should have.
The house is very clean and has a nice front porch but it is not furnished to sit out there, which is too bad. A place to sit outside for coffee or snacks would add a lot of value, especially since there is no common area in the house. Maybe other rooms had sitting areas but since ours did not, we really wanted a place to just be outside instead of sitting on the bed to eat and read.
Robbie is a nice guy! He helped us wherever he could! He offers breackfast, you can also bring your own food and eat it in the kitchen! For lunch and dinner you cannot use the kitchen! The room is nice and clean, the neigborhood looks very nice too and it's a good place to go running in the morning!
Robbie was a great host and welcomed us to Princeville. He provided lots of information about the beaches nearby. We found the room very comfortable, spacious, and convenient. The listing was accurate and Robbie was very organized.
Robbie was there to greet us when we arrived in the beautiful neighborhood, and he totally deserves the label of a Superhost. The house is super clean, nothing is broken and smells like fresh wood. The room was set up tastefully, and had everything we needed. He even has a stash of food left by previous guests for future guests! Parking is super easy and there's a grocery store 3 minutes away. Location is in a quiet, I would say little bourgeoisie neighborhood with perfect lawns, but all in a good way!
The kitten (Luma) is also amazing and my girlfriend really enjoyed playing with her. Also, roosters are super prevalent on the island, but Robbie's house was one of the few places where you didn't hear the "Cocka-doodle-doo" 24 hours a day for the entire week we stayed on Kauai. Yes, even at 1am we heard it in our previous airbnb. All in all, this was a perfect airbnb experience and I only wish we could have stayed longer!
A very enjoyable place to stay...Safe, quiet neighborhood. Just the right amount of privacy/social time in-house!
Robbie greeted us and gave us a quick tour of the place. The house is in a great location and all of the amenties you need! We would defintely stay again! The house was quiet and comfortable. We had such a great time. Robbie even let us use beach chairs, snorkels, and beach towels!
Couldn't have asked for more! Robbie and his girlfriend are thoughtful and friendly, and their home is beautiful and well planned out for hosting guests. It's a great location on the north shore in a beautiful neighborhood.

I've been living on Kauai for about two and a half years now and absolutely love it here. After having lived in many different places around the world, this is the first place that I have ever considered settling down.
I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, cooking, playing the drums, reading good books, beaching, working out, building things, working on my jeep, or just spending quiet time at home.
