See 'Description' for more details.
Note that bookings can be made no more than three months in advance.
This bedroom has a queen size bed with a firm BeautySleep® mattress, large mirrored closet, refrigerator, coffee maker, desk and chair. This listing also includes a continental breakfast with kitchen access from 7am - 10am, laundry facilities, and beach gear. The bathroom is shared with one other bedroom.
'Comfy Room' is located in a large, four bedroom home which I share with my girlfriend and airbnb guests.
You will have access to your room (including refrigerator and coffee maker), kitchen (7am - 10am only), bathroom, bath towels, beach equipment (including body boards, beach towels, snorkeling gear, and coolers), laundry facilities (4pm - 8pm), and a parking space on the driveway.
Interaction with Guests
I do my best to be home to welcome every guest and show them around upon checking in. I live here too, so will generally be available to talk with or answer any questions guests may have.
The house is conveniently located with just a 5 minute walk to Princeville Center where you can find shops, restaurants, a bus stop, supermarket, gas station, post office, library, park, banking facilities, and more. There is a volleyball court, basketball court, and large green area literally right next door to the house and you will find beaches, hikes, surf spots, and other outdoor activities within half a mile.
Princeville is home to the #1 rated golf course in Hawaii and is located on over 350 acres of fairways, trees and stunning ocean and mountain views. The closest hole is just a block away.
I would highly recommend renting a car while visiting Kaua'i. There is a public bus service that stops just 5 minutes walk away from my house, but if you are wanting to explore beaches, snorkeling spots, and hikes, you will not be able to do so using the bus as it only stops in towns.
In true Hawaiian style, please take off your shoes and wash off any sand or mud outside before entering the home.
Quiet hours: 10pm - 7am. You can come and go from the house as you please, but must remain quiet during quiet hours.
No smoking on property. No visitors.
Clean up after yourselves and show respect and courtesy to everyone in the house.
Mahalo (Thank You)
We stayed at Rob's place for 2 nights and we really appreciated our time there. The room was as in the description and very clean. He also gave us good advices where to go and what do to on Kauai :))
I would definitely choose him again for another vacation on the island!
Rob's home is very nice and we'll located in the North Shore.Princeville and the near Hanalei are beautifull and well served little cities.Rob give us our privacy and is always contactable when it served. There are some amenities that were very usefull for us and very well mantained as beach chairs, beach towels and snorkel gear. I stayed very well and I recommend Rob's home.We are very sorry because we didn't say good bye to you Rob, because of our very early in the morning flight to Kona (we didn't remember it was so soon,we had to wake up at 4am!!!) but we do it now!!!!
Princeville is a great jumping off point for exploring the north shore of Kauai. Rob's place is great. Clean, very new, closely located to a bunch of great beach spots. Check it out.
Location was very convenient for discovering the North Shore and East Shore. Rob provides a lot of guidebooks and tips for the area, and plentiful snorkel gear and other beach gear. Rob is very nice to talk to and friendly. This place is ideal if you want more of an upscale hostel feel, but note that you don't have kitchen access after the morning breakfast time and you don't have access to other parts of the house (which felt different than many other Airbnb experiences). The room was very clean and the bathroom was convenient. However, the room gets very poor air circulation, stays hotter than outdoors, and there is no a/c - I barely slept at night as it was probably 88 or so in the room and that was pretty miserable, to be honest. There is also a hard rule checkout at 11 am, for you to be aware of.
Rob was there when I arrived, and showed me my room (beautiful), nearby shared bathroom, the laundry room, and the stairs that take you to the kitchen for breakfast (prep your own with available food).
Host also had great beach chairs, umbrella, and snorkel gear.
Room was in a very beautiful house. Convenient location for excursions on he north shore. Rob provided a nice folder with descriptions of nearby beaches and restaurants, and of course, the house rules.
Rob's home was really awesome. It's set in a very nice neighborhood in the heart of Princeville. Out front, you have a pretty amazing view of the mountains and cliffs and right around the corner is one of the bigger shopping and restaurant centers in the area. There's even a really cool food court that stays open pretty late and has good energy.
The house itself was extremely clean and well organized. The room looked almost exactly as pictured and expected. Rob gave access to a bunch of beach supplies including mats, chairs and snorkeling equipment as well as recommendations for cool places to check out.
There were 2 other guest rooms being used at the time we were there but there was never a problem. All guests were quiet and respectful and it was easy enough to use the common areas. Check-in was extremely easy and everything was straightforward and laid out for you with a welcome binder and labels on all the important rooms and supplies.
Rob was a great host and I would absolutely stay with him again!!

About the Host, Rob
I've been living on Kauai for a little over three years now and absolutely love it here. After having lived in many different places around the world, this is the first place that I have ever considered settling down.
I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, cooking, playing the drums, reading good books, beaching, working out, building things, working on my jeep, or just spending quiet time at home.
