Interaction with Guests
I do my best to be home to welcome every guest and show them around upon checking in. I live here too, so will generally be available to talk with or answer any questions guests may have.
The house is conveniently located with just a 5 minute walk to Princeville Center where you can find shops, restaurants, a bus stop, supermarket, gas station, post office, library, park, banking facilities, and more. There is a volleyball court, basketball court, and large green area literally right next door to the house and you will find beaches, hikes, surf spots, and other outdoor activities within half a mile.
Princeville is home to the #1 rated golf course in Hawaii and is located on over 350 acres of fairways, trees and stunning ocean and mountain views. The closest hole is just a block away.
I would highly recommend renting a car while visiting Kaua'i. There is a public bus service that stops just 5 minutes walk away from my house, but if you are wanting to explore beaches, snorkeling spots, and hikes, you will not be able to do so using the bus as it only stops in towns.
In true Hawaiian style, please take off your shoes and wash off any sand or mud outside before entering the home.
Quiet hours: 10pm - 7am. You can come and go from the house as you please, but must remain quiet during quiet hours.
No smoking on property. No visitors.
Clean up after yourselves and show respect and courtesy to everyone in the house.
Mahalo (Thank You)
Rob's home is immaculately clean and set up to make guest experience as nice as possible. ( I really appreciated the opportunity to use the washer and dryer. Perfect location for all North Shore activities.
Robbie's place was awesome. It was very clean and comfortable. He was around to answer any questions we had and gave us great suggestions for our stay in Kauai. Very beautiful and convenient location to everything. We had a private room with a shared bathroom but rarely saw the other people that stayed in the house. Would absolutely recommend for people to stay at Robbie's.
Our room was very clean and felt quiet and private. The house is lovely, with hardwood floors and a beautiful porch. Kitchen access is very nice in the morning and we found everything we needed there (note that breakfast options are toast or cereal with coffee or orange juice, so if you're looking for something a little heartier stock up on your own goodies at Foodland).
This does not have the feel of someone's home, it's most definitely a bed and breakfast - that said, Robby is super warm and available if you have any questions.
Aloha! Really nice house in a GREAT convenient area. Robbie's home really fit my needs as I had my own car and just needed a nice place to stay. My room was very clean and I never even heard or saw any house guests except for the cat! Robbie also provided me with a house key and a nice folder of ideas for places to eat, visit, beach, etc..
Super charming room, exactly like it is pictured. Robbie left a book and tips and tricks for the area and Kaui. I appreciated how clean the room was, proximity to things and a very nice neighborhood. The only thing that might be nice is a common place to sit inside / outside. Definitely a great place!
Princeville is a planned golf community, which makes it feel pretty sterile and suburban. You could be anywhere so it doesn't 'feel' like Hawaii. However, It is a convenient location to access lots of great destinations and you can get in and out of the area easily.
We didn't read the fine print well enough and were surprised the kitchen was open only 7-10 a.m. so we didn't plan our meals as we should have.
The house is very clean and has a nice front porch but it is not furnished to sit out there, which is too bad. A place to sit outside for coffee or snacks would add a lot of value, especially since there is no common area in the house. Maybe other rooms had sitting areas but since ours did not, we really wanted a place to just be outside instead of sitting on the bed to eat and read.

About the Host, Rob
I've been living on Kauai for about three years now and absolutely love it here. After having lived in many different places around the world, this is the first place that I have ever considered settling down.
I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, cooking, playing the drums, reading good books, beaching, working out, building things, working on my jeep, or just spending quiet time at home.
