Interaction with Guests
Host not present during guests' stay. Will meet to give keys. Happy to answer questions about northeastern Ohio's many educational, cultural, natural and entertainment resources.
Peninsula Village is located in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The Cuyahoga Valley Railroad runs up and down the valley and makes numerous stops. It is an historical and entertainment railroad, not a major transit facility.
Other Things to Note
Dogs and cats are welcome, provided they will not damage the property. Guest staying longer than three days will be asked to pay gas and electric costs prorated for the length of their stay and based on meter readings. This encourages avoiding wastefulness and is not profit-oriented..
No smoking in the home, please. You may smoke on the back porch.
We had a wonderful stay! The host was very thorough providing information before our stay and emailing during our stay! The home was just as described, very clean and the perfect accomodation for our trip to Peninsula and a wedding at the lodge. The leaves were spectacular, and although we were within minutes of hiking trails, biking trails, restaurants and the train, it was a peaceful and relaxing setting. We hope to return in the spring.
My family and I stayed for a month at the Thiel's home in Peninsula. It is a lovely home in beautiful surroundings. We were very comfortable and felt very at home there. We could tell that it is important to the owners that their guests are satisfied. We would stay here again.
Beautiful house, spotless, beautifully furnished, wonderful screened porch, all as shown on website. Quiet lovely wooded location. Perfect for family reunion. Fritz and Barbara were friendly and thoughtful hosts -- accommodating all requests.
Fritz and Barbara have provided me and my family with a wonderful home for our summer stay in NE Ohio. The home is equipped with every convenience we needed from kitchen gadgets to quality linens. The home was clean and exceptionally well maintained when we arrived. The furniture is new and high quality and the house is decorated appropriately and comfortably. This AirBnB experience has been our best so far.
The home was clean and exactly as presented. We enjoyed the stay. Fritz was most cordial and a pleasure to deal with. He was responsive to communication before and during our trip. We highly recommend his home without reservation.
The house exceeded our expectations. Our dogs and grand kids loved running around the large fenced yard. Peninsula is a quaint town with bike rentals and easy access to the Tow Path trail and historic canal structures.
We had several unexpected special touches: super high quality matresses and pillows, premium coffee and appliances and a spotlessly clean house. Also just a short drive to Hudson, one of Ohio's Western Reserve Villages with great dining and a world-class grocery store.
Along with that, Fritz was very professional, timely and polite. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Northeast Ohio.
We rented this house to setup a home base over the holidays as we visited with family in the Cleveland and Canton areas. It was absolutely perfect. Our experience with our host was wonderful. They were so accommodating - we arrived at night in the rain and we were greeted by Fritz. He brought coffee for the morning and extra dog towels, which was so appreciated. The house was more than we expected - warm, clean, and cozy. The area and property are amazing - our dogs loved playing in the backyard. We look forward to returning! Many thanks again to our wonderful hosts.
Fritz and Barbara Thiel are familiar with all of northeastern Ohio and enjoy the area's universities and cultural institutions.
