About This Listing
Private entrance. Quiet, secluded private bedroom with adjoining private bath. Also a large great room with TV and refrigerator. The bedroom is very large with a queen size bed, TV, couch and chair. 20 minutes from Downtown and Churchill Downs.
We have a very nice contemporary home with a lot of privacy in a very nice neighborhood. Located in Springhurst, our home is in one of Louisville's most desirable areas. We are across the street from The Paddock (formerly The Summit) Shopping Center which features restaurants and stores such as Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Barnes & Noble and many more.
You can hop on the freeway from our home, take I-71 to Downtown Louisville to see the sights which include The Slugger Museum, the Muhammad Ali Museum, the Frazer Museum, 21C Hotel/Museum and the fashionable, funky NuLu District.
We are home to some of the best restaurants in the country. Most of our restaurants were opened by chefs from our culinary school who come home after stints with fine restaurants across the world.
Louisville just replaced Seattle as the #1 Travel Destination in the country due to our wonderful city - it's history such as the Bourbon Trail, parks design by Frederick Olmstead and our funky "Keep Louisville Real" vibe.
We are also home to the world's most important horse race, The Kentucky Derby. Churchill Downs is just 20 minutes from our home straight down highway I-264.
Guests have access to a private entrance, private bedroom with queen bed and sitting areas and private bath. You also will have use of the Great Room/living room area outside of your bedroom (not pictured) with a second TV and a refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. If the weather is nice, you have a patio with lawn furniture and a porch swing and a huge yard.
Interaction with Guests
I give my guests as much privacy as they want but I also try to be as helpful as possible. I provide information on exciting tourist destinations, great restaurants, great shopping and hidden local gems that only a lifelong resident would know about.
If you would like breakfast, you can let me know in advance and I can provide cereal and muffins.
Springhurst is located in the Northeast corridor of the city. We are located just minutes from the freeway. Our neighborhood is walkable and very safe. Shopping, a grocery store and a movie theatre are nearby. The neighborhood is clean and close to everything. It consists of single family homes. We have a huge backyard and provide parking or you can park on the street in front of our house.
20 Minutes from Downtown and Churchill Downs.
The best way to get around is by car. You can walk to nearby stores, etc. but to get downtown or to Churchill Downs you will need a car. TARC Buses are available and the bus line runs pass our neighborhood at the main road - Springhurst Blvd.
Other Things to Note
Our home is your home when you are here. We will do everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
No loud music, no parties, no drugs. We ask that you respect our space as if it were your own. If parking on the street, we ask that you park directly in front of our house so as not to disturb the neighbors. No check-ins later than 6 p.m.
We came to stay with Pam over Kentucky Derby weekend and could not of asked for a better host. Kind and caring are words that do not even begin to give justice to this host. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms. She offered us bottled water and snacks as we settled in, and gave us great advice for the area. In the morning she even had breakfast for us.
The home is very clean and all finishes are comfortable. Towels are soft and in the bathroom we found mini soaps and shampoos that were perfect. Our two nights with Pam were simply wonderful. We highly recommend this special home for your stay in Louisville.
Really easy and pleasant experience with Pam. An ideal airbnb stay. Not too far from Louisville, and really easy to get to off the freeway. I had the whole bottom floor of the house to myself, with a private entrance. Breakfast provided in the morning. Like I said, ideal.
Pam was an excellent host. My wife and I just stayed at her One bedroom and bath in Louisville. She was very easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. We didn't get to chat with her much because we were there just to sleep and a quick shower but she made sure we felt comfortable and offered lots of helpful suggestions. We really liked the snacks and bottled water Pam left for us. The shower had awesome water pressure and plenty of nice clean towels. There was lots of room and it would be good for a longer stay. We were there for a concert at KCD theater and it was about 2 minutes away. Lots of restaurant options near by. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for something in the area.
Very nice accomodations: clean and comfortable, a pleasure to come home to.
