The Space

Stay in a Georgian house in the heart of Dublin city. This house is beautifully appointed with period decorated rooms, a fabulous kitchen and a large double bedroom.

The house is owner occupied and one room is occupied by a long term tenant. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly and we invite you to treat the house as your own !

We are located at the back of Trinity college adjacent to Windmill lane where U2 recorded their first albums. 50m away is the river liffey and a lovely walk down to the new and exciting Hanover quay. We are only 12min walk from Grafton st and 8m into Temple Bar. The area is very safe and quiet at night time.

In terms of access the Dart train system is only 5 minutes away giving easy access South to Bray or North to picturesque Howth & Malahide.

There are very few Georgian houses so close to the city centre. This location allows you peace and quiet and you are only a 5 minute walk from Trinity college and the core of the city centre.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to cooking facilities, WiFi, TV, DVD, Stereo and can live like at home !

Interaction with Guests

The owners of the house enjoy meeting guests but also live busy lives so you may well have the place to yourself !

The Neighborhood

The neighbourhood is very central with easy access to the city centre as well as Hannover quay and the IFSC financial district.

Getting around

The DART local rail system and Luas tram system are both within 5 minutes from the house. Also 'Dublin Bike' stations are located at the end of the street !

  • Georgia and Gar were great hosts and gave us good advice on places to visit. The neighborhood is very convenient, close to Trinity College, museums, etc. I would highly recommend staying here.

You too! If you think it could be worth introducing the boys let me know and we can try to arrange something over the summer! Best wishes, Georgia

  • We really felt welcome at Georgias & Gars home. A nice and quiet place between old city center and the new stylish docklands. Gar gave us great advice for restaurants and places to visit. We also enjoyed are wonderful evening all together with chats, TV and snacks. This really makes the difference to a hotel. Our first airbnb experience was definitely worth it!

  • Georgina & Gar were fine hosts. Despite being busy young entrepreneurs they gave us many suggestions on how to get the most out of our short stay in Dublin. The accommodation was exactly what we expected. Centrally located on a quiet street close by the Liffy River, adjacent to the old U2 warehouse recording studios. Very short walks to public transit, airport busses and the Grafton, Temple Bar Trinity College area made our stay here memorable.

  • 2 nights in this wonderful house, made us feel like we were home. Georgia was great with recommendations and very helpful. Wonderful people who were able to help us with the rest of the trip. Close to city centre, short walk to everything! Love the stay, too short. Massive recommendation for Georgia and Gar

  • Nicely welcomed by Georgia, Gar and her friends. As my schedule was very busy, we didn't see each other anymore, but my stay went very smoothly.
Nice, cosy and large room with good bed, the bathroom is right next to the room and very good. Very laid-back atmosphere, and the rental DB bikes, which I enjoyed very much, are at a 2 min walk from the house.

Area is walking distance from the city center, but just far enough to have quit nights. I walked 'home' at 23:00 on my own and always felt safe!

The only inieminie minus thing was that Georgia forgot to put a towel in the room. But at the other hand, I was not sure if that was included in the price or maybe I had to bring my own? I couldn't ask her as we didn't see each other anymore, but as it was a short stay it was not a drama :-). She kindly emailed me afterwards with an excuse for that, so nothing to worry about :-). If she forgets, just ask!

  • Georgia and Gar are simply great! their place has all the charm of a Georgian building right in the center of Dublin but beyond that and although I only (email hidden) for a couple of days I had the opportunity to prove how hospitable, fun and lovely they are by joining them for dinner. I simply love their spontaneity and good sense of humor while we all together enjoyed a couple of hours with wine, cheese and Georgia delicious rice!

I definately recommend their place for anyone visiting Dublin and seeking to meet the very best of the Irish soul

  • This is the third time the Georgia & Gar host me. As always it has been a pleasure to spend some time with them and catch up.

  • Georgia is lovely, friendly, helpful, very chatty. She kindly supplied us with wheat free cereals and bread and took the trouble to supply a mattress on the floor. The house is lovely, also clean and with a large lounge, and our room was nice. The immediate area is a little off-putting at first with grafitti and derelect/old buildings which is the view from the room. The houses on the same side as this one are lovely old georgian and presumably at some point the other side of the street will be improved. The surrounding area is great with a beautiful theatre at one end and lots of bridges crossing the river at the other end. We arrived on a cold and wet weekend in March and spent most of our two days feeling uncomfortably cold in the house. Our host didn't seem to be cold but for us there was little heating in the room and neither the kitchen or bathroom had any heating at all. I couldn't face having another shower as the window was wide open the whole time. Would I go back? Yes but only in the summer... :-)

  • I had a great time staying with Georgia, Garr & Greg! Two friends came along that had never used AirBnB prior and they were delighted with the whole experience.. They were amazing hosts! They helped with suggestions about where to go in & around Dublin and also throughout Ireland. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the city center area. I definitely recommend staying at their location! Thanks again for hosting us!
