Experience a Georgian house from the 1870's in the heart of Dublin city. The main living rooms have traditional high ceilings, bedroom is very spacious and the kitchen is a bran new glass fronted space. We are located in a very central and fun area.
Stay in a Georgian house in the heart of Dublin city. This house is beautifully appointed with period decorated rooms, a fabulous kitchen and a large double bedroom.
The house is owner occupied and one room is occupied by a long term tenant. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly and we invite you to treat the house as your own !
We are located at the back of Trinity college adjacent to Windmill lane where U2 recorded their first albums. 50m away is the river liffey and a lovely walk down to the new and exciting Hanover quay. We are only 12min walk from Grafton st and 8m into Temple Bar. The area is very safe and quiet at night time.
In terms of access the Dart train system is only 5 minutes away giving easy access South to Bray or North to picturesque Howth & Malahide.
There are very few Georgian houses so close to the city centre. This location allows you peace and quiet and you are only a 5 minute walk from Trinity college and the core of the city centre.
Guests have full access to cooking facilities, WiFi, TV, DVD, Stereo and can live like at home !
The owners of the house enjoy meeting guests but also live busy lives so you may well have the place to yourself !
The neighbourhood is very central with easy access to the city centre as well as Hannover quay and the IFSC financial district.
The DART local rail system and Luas tram system are both within 5 minutes from the house. Also 'Dublin Bike' stations are located at the end of the street !
Nicely welcomed by Georgia, Gar and her friends. As my schedule was very busy, we didn't see each other anymore, but my stay went very smoothly.
Nice, cosy and large room with good bed, the bathroom is right next to the room and very good. Very laid-back atmosphere, and the rental DB bikes, which I enjoyed very much, are at a 2 min walk from the house.
Area is walking distance from the city center, but just far enough to have quit nights. I walked 'home' at 23:00 on my own and always felt safe!
The only inieminie minus thing was that Georgia forgot to put a towel in the room. But at the other hand, I was not sure if that was included in the price or maybe I had to bring my own? I couldn't ask her as we didn't see each other anymore, but as it was a short stay it was not a drama :-). She kindly emailed me afterwards with an excuse for that, so nothing to worry about :-). If she forgets, just ask!
This is the third time the Georgia & Gar host me. As always it has been a pleasure to spend some time with them and catch up.
Georgia is lovely, friendly, helpful, very chatty. She kindly supplied us with wheat free cereals and bread and took the trouble to supply a mattress on the floor. The house is lovely, also clean and with a large lounge, and our room was nice. The immediate area is a little off-putting at first with grafitti and derelect/old buildings which is the view from the room. The houses on the same side as this one are lovely old georgian and presumably at some point the other side of the street will be improved. The surrounding area is great with a beautiful theatre at one end and lots of bridges crossing the river at the other end. We arrived on a cold and wet weekend in March and spent most of our two days feeling uncomfortably cold in the house. Our host didn't seem to be cold but for us there was little heating in the room and neither the kitchen or bathroom had any heating at all. I couldn't face having another shower as the window was wide open the whole time. Would I go back? Yes but only in the summer... :-)
I had a great time staying with Georgia, Garr & Greg! Two friends came along that had never used AirBnB prior and they were delighted with the whole experience.. They were amazing hosts! They helped with suggestions about where to go in & around Dublin and also throughout Ireland. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the city center area. I definitely recommend staying at their location! Thanks again for hosting us!
delightful delicious and heartwarming to be received in N° 13 Creighton Street. I would certainly go back and recommend it to anyone who wishes to discover Dublin. It is ideally situated for the city and also, so important, for the airport connections:
Thank you thank you Georgia and Garrett.
I felt like I was at home during my conference stay in Dublin.
I received a warm welcome with a dinner to get to know each other.
Gar and Georgia helped me to discover Dublin with ease and respected my special wishes, invited me to accompany them.
Highly recommended, particularly while attending a conference.
A fabulous house, in a fabulous location with fabulous people. Getting to meet people like Georgia and Gar is what makes staying with AirBnB so much fun. You won't go wrong. I stayed with them for 4 days while in town for business. The house is in a great location, close to the Grand Canal area, an easy walk to the city center, and an easy taxi ride to the Eastpoint Business Park. Highly recommended!
Gar and Georgina are awesome hosts. Very accommodating and welcoming. Would love to stay again.
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Georgia and Gar were the best host I have met so far in Airbnb. I spend a really nice week in Dublin with them. We had a really nice talk with a glass of wine during the check in and I even went with Gar and his friends to drink some pints in the city centre. The place is an old style house and with a reformed kitchen and bathroom. The room was really cozy and clean with an awesome bed. If you want to have a nice and local stay in Dublin really close the place where U2 recorded their firsts albums, I encourage you to visit Georgia and Gar in their lovely Georgian House.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
