The Space

ABOUT THE AREA:
Experience the real San Francisco and stay where the locals live. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this is the perfect location. This is a quiet, safe neighborhood which makes it great for families and couples traveling together. I can also provide parking for you which is a great benefit since parking in SF is quite challenging and pricey.

You're just a 15 minute walk to Baker Beach, a 15 minute walk to Presidio, a 20 minute walk to Golden Gate Park and 12 blocks from Lincoln Park Golf Course. The Palace of the Legion of Honor, The DeYoung Museum and Land's End (Coastal Trail that runs about six miles along the bluff above the sea boasting spectacular views) are also a 20 minute walk. There is an express bus that gets you downtown in 25 minutes and there are also several bus stops nearby to get you anywhere in San Francisco.

Your charming neighborhood coffee shop is just a few doors down and there are lots of great restaurants just within a few blocks including the best wood fired pizza place in the city (in my opinion) and the best vietnamese crab restaurant (also in my opinion).

ABOUT THE FLAT:
The flat is a modern, stylish, clean and quiet 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Edwardian with a large living room, a working gas fireplace, dining room and a full kitchen with granite counter tops. My sister owns the flat upstairs which is where I'll be, so someone is always around if you ever need anything.

ABOUT THE BEDROOMS:
Each bedroom can accommodate up to 2 adults. There is a very comfortable queen size bed in each room and it's fairly sunny during the day (unless we're fogged in) and pretty dark and quiet in the evenings (perfect for sleeping). There is one bathroom.

  • I really had a great time in Noreen's condo with my mum and best friend. The condo is clean and located in quiet and safe neighborhood. And my mum loved the kitchen so much haha. Noreen is so caring and easygoing, she even offer us a ride to downtown for breakfast since we didn't take our car from rental agency in the first day. Will definitely stay again next time.

  • Our entire family really enjoyed staying at Noreen's place, which was our first airbnb experience! Even though we are a family with young children, we felt so much at home each day we were there based on the decor and the personal photos of her family around the house that made us feel even more special to be there. Place is spotless and had everything we needed. The beds in both rooms had amazing mattresses (better than business class hotels I frequent!) which came in handy after a long day of activities with our kids. Location is ideal b/c the place is located in a quiet residential section of SF but close enough to Clement and Geary streets to access cafes and nice restaurants. Noreen also put together an excellent binder full of recommendations which was very helpful too. Definitely recommend to new or experienced airbnb-ers, and happy to be a reference!

  • Noreen was an excellent host where she made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay and checked in with us regularly.

Her place is in a safe family-friendly neighborhood and is within walking distance to great restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, Baker Beach, and playgrounds for our two toddlers. The bus stop is just two minutes away and goes all the way to the Ferry Building.

We will definitely consider coming back again when we visit San Francisco.

  • Absolutely LOVED our stay! Noreen's home is beautiful. Everything was very warm & inviting. Plenty of pillows/blankets/towels. She was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and local activities. Great location. This was our first Airbnb rental and would most definitely stay here again! Thanks Noreen!

  • This was my first experience with Air BnB and Noreen provided a great first impression with this service. Right from the start she was helpful, guiding me to her apartment when I got lost in the city coming from the airport.

Her apartment is clean, comfortable and spacious, located in a great area with immediate access to Golden Gate Park and The Golden Gate Bridge while being close to direct transit routes into the downtown area. There are also plenty of great restaurants in the area that Noreen makes sure to highlight in a handy binder full of detailed information.

If you're visiting San Fran definitely stay here.

  • This was our first experience in renting a condo and Noreen was very easy to deal with and provided us with information about the city in general. The condo is quite far from the main area of the city, however the bus system is fabulous and easy to understand from the maps. We took a taxi from the airport to the condo, cost around $50. Taking a shuttle bus for four people would have been around the same cost and by taking a taxi it was a direct route. The area is very nice and at no time were we afraid to walk in the later evening. There were restaurants and small grocery marts within a 2-4 block area. We did have an issue with one of the beds in that it was very uncomfortable and was impossible for two adults to sleep in the bed as both would roll to the middle. The other bed was very comfortable. We will be forwarding our concerns directly to Noreen. Overall we had a great holiday but the bed issue was very unpleasant

    Response from Noreen:

Thanks so much for your feedback Deanna. I replaced the bed and bought a brand new box spring/frame/mattress since this review was posted. My goal is to make sure each and every guest has a wonderful experience. Once again, your feedback is much appreciated. Best, Noreen

About
Like most San Franciscans, eating good food and trying all types of restaurants is one of my favorite past times. I enjoy cooking, entertaining and listening to live music. I have as much fun doing indoor activities (IE: reading, watching movies, dancing), as I do outdoor activities (IE: hiking, kayaking, scuba diving). I live for a weekend getaway whether it’s planned or spontaneous. I consider wine tasting through any wine region a good way to spend the day, and I am in constant search of the perfect beach. So far, my vote is Anguilla. I work in the Travel Industry, so my short list gets longer and longer. I would love to get to Africa very soon!
