Modern, stylish, clean and quiet Edwardian in a great safe neighborhood with easy access to every part of the city. It's a perfect space to relax after a day of activities.
The flat is a modern, stylish, clean and quiet 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Edwardian with a large living room, a working gas fireplace, dining room and a full kitchen with granite counter tops.
Each bedroom can accommodate up to 2 adults. There is a very comfortable queen size bed in each room and it's fairly sunny during the day (unless we're fogged in) and pretty dark and quiet in the evenings (perfect for sleeping). I also have a full size aero bed and a twin size aero bed that are very comfortable and great for kids.
We have hardwood floors, so since the flat is on the lower level, you may hear us walking around and occasionally having friends visit. But, for the most part we are very quiet.
Guests have access to everything in the flat except the computer. However, if you are in need of internet access, I can give you use of an Ipad. Due to California's current drought, I reserve laundry use for guests staying 5+ days.
Interaction with Guests
My sister owns the flat upstairs which is where one of us will be, so someone is always around if you ever need anything. However, we will respect your privacy. You may hear us upstairs from time to time, but you will only see us if you want to :).
Experience the real San Francisco and stay where the locals live. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, the Richmond District is the perfect location. This is a quiet, safe neighborhood which makes it great for families. Parking can be tricky in San Francisco which makes my area a bit more desirable if you have a car. It is further away from the main tourist attractions, but still accessible.
You're just a 15 minute walk to Baker Beach, a 15 minute walk to Presidio, a 20 minute walk to Golden Gate Park and 12 blocks from Lincoln Park Golf Course. The Legion of Honor, The DeYoung Museum and Land's End (Coastal Trail that runs about six miles along the bluff above the sea boasting spectacular views) are also a 20 minute walk.
Your charming neighborhood coffee shop is just a few doors down and there are lots of great restaurants just within a few blocks including the best wood fired pizza place in the city (in my opinion) and the best vietnamese crab restaurant (also in my opinion).
The neighborhood is both quiet and friendly. It was recently voted the most-family friendly neighborhood in San Francisco. With that said, we ask visitors to be respectful of noise. And we are also 100-percent non-smoking.
Muni is nearby and can get you anywhere in the city. The #1 California is 1/2 block away and the #38 Geary is 2 blocks away. Both lines can get you anywhere in the city. Besides that, Uber, Lyft and Flywheel make it simple to get anywhere you need to go within minutes of your request.
Other Things to Note
**Discounts available for longer stays of over 1 week depending on time of year. Feel free to inquire at time of request**
Garage parking can be included for $20.00 per day but only with prior approval. There are times when the garage cannot be offered.
We live in a quiet building and neighborhood. If you would like to invite additional friends or family into my home while you are visiting, I would appreciate you letting me know in advance.
Smoking is prohibited in the flat or outdoors anywhere near the building.
Just treat my place as you would your own and be respectful of my home.
Like most San Franciscans, eating good food and trying all types of restaurants is one of my favorite past times. I enjoy cooking, entertaining and listening to live music. I have as much fun doing indoor activities (IE: reading, watching movies, dancing), as I do outdoor activities (IE: hiking, kayaking, scuba diving). I live for a weekend getaway whether it’s planned or spontaneous. I consider wine tasting through any wine region a good way to spend the day, and I am in constant search of the perfect beach. So far, my vote is Anguilla. I work in the Travel Industry, so my short list gets longer and longer. I would love to get to Africa very soon!
