We have a spare double bedroom in our flat. The room comes with its own bathroom and it's located in a flat 8 mins walking from the Trinity College main gate, 2 mins from Tara Train Station and 5 mins from the Bus Station!
Our spare room is fitted with a double bed and a desk, plus two coffee tables on each side that contains some drawers for your personal use. It can fit up to two people only.
It's kept clean and tidy all the time, although we do have the wardrobe packed with some clothes :)
Of course, you could use the kitchen, fridge, washing machine, iron board and appliances during your stay. We have WiFi as well. If you smoke, there is no problem. We do have a balcony in the flat. And no pets with us.
Our flat is in a second floor of a secured building. It's really well connected to any kind of transportation. Apart from being situated between two main train/DART stations (Tara & Pearse), we have the Westmoreland / Trinity Aircoach stop close by and the Busaras Station just crossing the bridge over the Liffey river, where you have a LUAS (tram) stop. There is a public gym right around the corner that you could you use without membership and a city public bikes dock.
Temple bar is 10 minutes away, where you will have access to all kind of pubs, clubs and restaurants. Grafton Street and O´Connell Street, Stephen´s Green and Merrion Parks, everything within a 10-15 minutes walk.
We do work during the week and we are not home till 5pm or so. On weekends we are off. There is no problem for early check-in as my office is 10 minutes away from the apartment and in front of the airport bus stop. We will be happy to give you any suggestions on what to do and visit in Dublin, of course!
The main point is that we live in a busy area, specially on weekday mornings. We have a bridge train across the street and traffic passing by. No one has ever complained, and as long as you have the windows closed, you barely notice. But better let you know if you are a light-sleeper! :)
Borja's apartment is perfect for your visit to Dublin. It's centrally located - only a short walk from Temple Bar, the DART train, and anything else you'd like to see in Dublin. If being centrally located is your main concern, I can strongly suggest Borja's apartment. The room is lovely, with a very comfortable double bed. However, like he warns in the description - there are train tracks quite close to the apartment outside the window. If you are a particularly light sleeper, this could pose an issue. Otherwise, heavy sleepers will be completely fine - or turn on a fan or the white noise app on your phone and you'll be fine. The apartment is updated and clean, and they are great hosts who will respect your privacy and allow you to enjoy your stay.
Borja and Sara were welcoming and gracious hosts for our 3 night stay in Dublin. Their place and our room in particular were modern, clean, well lit and comfortable. Internet connection was excellent and outlets for recharging ample. The bathroom was roomy and again clean and modern. Their location was perfect for our needs: easy airport access, near Trinity College, short walks to Hop-On Hop-Off stops, O'Connell Street, Temple Bar and most of the neighborhoods we wanted to visit. The proximity to the DART tracks was of some concern in our planning which went away the first night. We were pleased that the occasional quite muted train sounds definitely did not keep us from getting our much needed sleep.
With only 2 full days in Dublin we didn't get to socialize as much as we would have liked, but when we did Borja was most helpful with restaurant and transportation recommendations as well as answering a host of I'm sure standard questions travelers new to Dublin have. (From the time we reserved online to the time we left, communication with Borja was easy, quick and responsive.) It is obvious they both enjoy being in Dublin and want to share that with their guests.
We of course had a great time in Dublin in part because we had a good place to stay thanks to Borja and Sara. We highly recommend a visit.
Borja's place is very well located, in the heart of the city, not far from Trinity College and Temple bar. Our hosts were nice and open to discussion. The bathroom is clean as well as the bedroom. The only negative points are the railway and the street noises which begin early in the morning.
Staying with Borja and Sara was a blast. The place was very clean, quiet for being in the city, and located perfectly. We would highly suggest staying with them if you get the chance. They are both very friendly and welcoming.
My friend Courtney and I loved staying at Borja's place in the heart of Dublin! The central location made it easily accessible, but was very quiet since it was on a smaller street. I would definitely recommend staying at Borja's apartment while visiting Dublin.
Very pleasant and helpful couple! The apartment is clean/comfy and located in a central location- 5 minute walk from where the tour buses depart. We enjoyed our stay!
Borja and Sara are wonderful people, with a lovely flat conveniently located in the city center. I liked their place so much that I booked a second stay!
Borja & Sara were just lovely. From the minute I reached out about a last minute overnight in Dublin, I knew I had made the right decision in choosing their place. Although I was only there one night, it was evident these two are expert hosts. From cleanliness to a smooth check-in, all elements of the stay were impeccable. Not to mention the fantastic location!
Don't miss out on staying here if you can.
Thanks so much, Borja & Sara :)
The apartment was immaculate, quiet, comfortable, and roomy.
Private bath was a nice advantage. Good restaurant recommendations from Borja as well as sights to see. The central location was such a help for catching busses and getting around.
I would definitely recommend this apt. and couple
