About this listing
The Harbor House is part of the Small Point Community in Phippsburg, Maine. It is a perfect family vacation, serene writer's retreat, or romantic escape.
The house sleeps seven people in five bedrooms (two rooms with king beds, two rooms each with two twin beds, and one with a single twin bed). In addition to two full bathrooms, there is an outdoor shower. The large kitchen opens to a comfortable family room with a breakfast table and the livingroom has a large wood fireplace perfect for chilly nights.
There is a large outdoor deck for sunning or grilling and a screened-in porch overlooking the harbor, perfect for evening cocktails. You can also feel free to use the kayaks swim on the family dock below the house.
Charcoal grill, dishwasher, and laundryroom are also included.
Interaction with guests
There is a caretaker who you will likely not see except to get your key. The dock below the house is a family dock and some relatives use it to access their boats. They will use a separate drive and interaction is minimal.
This is a tight knit community of secluded houses on a private road. There is a summer school for your kids that offers sailing and tennis lessons as well as nature adventures and arts and crafts for the younger ones. See (website hidden) for more info or to register your kids.
Please leave the house the way you found it. This is an extended family house and there are many items with nostalgic value.
Pets are fine.
No smoking please.

I grew up in Minneapolis, live in Brooklyn with my wife Molly (she's awesome), and consider both my home. I was a magician as a kid and wanted to be a knight when I grew up. I'm good at sledding, know how to knit, and do my own laundry. I get a real sense of accomplishment when I assemble IKEA furniture and have opinions about olives and bathroom etiquette. I help people refine and produce ideas, products, and businesses. I'm the Director of a co-working space in Tribeca called Impact Hub NYC and the Founder and CEO of Postography, an app that helps you create and send highly sustainable, beautiful, paper postcards from your iPhone to the people you love.
