Guest access
Beavertail is the guest house of a larger house, so there may be other guests or owners staying on the property in other structures. Beavertail has its own patio, hot tub and grill. But three amenities, the hammock circle, fire pit and horseshoe area are communal. Patty's art studio is adjacent to Beavertail and occasionally she is in her studio working quietly.

** Events -- We cannot accommodate and do not permit gatherings or events such as weddings at Beavertail. Guests at Beavertail are permitted to bring only the number of guests booked in their reservation, and no more, onto the Beavertail property. This a maximum of 4 people. Feel free to inquire if you have questions. **

Other things to note
2 Car Maximum - We are trying to preserve and restore the fragile desert landscape at Beavertail which means our driveway space is limited. For this reason guest groups must have a maximum of two (2) vehicles unless prior arrangements are made with us in advance.

Beavertail has its own private patio, hot tub and grill. But please be aware that the hammock circle, the fire pit and the horseshoe pit are shared with guests staying in the main house. Make new friends! :-)

Beavertail easily accommodates 4 guests but it's perfect for 2-3. The pricing reflects this.

Beavertail is equipped with systems to help keep guests comfortable and secure. Indoor and outdoor lighting is on a home automation system which ties to dusk and dawn. Additionally we have outdoor security cameras to monitor exterior areas around Beavertail including the driveway, patio and hot tub areas.

EV charging is Level 2 and has a standard SAE J1772 connector. Charger is compatible with all EVs, but adapter may be required. For example, Tesla EVs require the J1772-to-Tesla adapter which comes included with every new Tesla EV.

Where you’ll be

Joshua Tree

From the host

Beavertail is located at the southern edge of Joshua Tree village and 0.5 mile from the Joshua Tree National Park boundary. The last 1.0 mile to the house is on easily passable dirt roads. Our 5-acre property has epic 360 degree views of the desert. Beavertail is the guest house of a larger house. It is extremely quiet and beautiful. The property is intentionally unfenced and we have lots of wildlife that may wander by including coyotes, bunnies, roadrunners, etc. We do have some neighbors and we ask that you be careful about sound, as noise carries a long distance in the open silent desert.
