Room in a farm stay

Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
Reconnect with nature and unwind in the peace and beauty of Cool Creek Farm! Your well-appointed private room and bath is just steps away from acres of rolling farm land and a wide variety of animals (all contained in pastures, except for the free-ranging chickens!). Whether you are here for a single night or several, this will be your restorative homebase for any other activities you choose in the area. The farm is convenient to Pittsboro, Siler City, Chapel Hill, Apex and Saxapahaw/Graham.

The space
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the farm from your room, lounging by the firepit or strolling around the property. The space is comfortable, stylish and functional. Hardwood and tile floors and 9 foot ceilings throughout. The bathroom features an over-sized jet tub and a glass shower enclosure with plenty of vanity and counter space. One walk-in closet and one lighted cedar-lined closet provide ample space for organizing your things. The velvet chairs and wool rug invite you to sit with your favorite drink or book. The dry bar, toaster oven, french press, tea kettle and mini fridge make it possible for you to prepare simple meals. Fresh ground organic coffee and a selection of teas are provided for your use. Sturdy wooden folding tables are available for eating. The bed is a queen. If work is a must, the dedicated work nook with floating desk and garden view makes it truly enjoyable!

There are yard games like croquet, bocce, frisbee, hoola hoops, Speedminton and giant Jenga for use on the arena which, thanks to no light pollution, is also a great place for star-gazing. The giant swing is a must try! Unique farm to fork restaurants and live music venues abound in the area. Road biking is also popular while mountain biking trails are available within 15 minutes. We use central heat but don't use AC at Cool Creek, preferring open windows and ceiling/window fans and the sound of peepers in the evenings (the Farmhouse Garden Apt is my only listing that offers AC). All of our bedding and towels are machine-washed and line dried in the sun, so they may feel a bit different to you. Natural, scent-free laundry and cleaning products are used in the space.

We welcome all pleasant and respectful people to Cool Creek Farm!

Additionally, the farm is expansive with plenty of parking and inviting spaces. If you want to have a larger outdoor gathering of family/friends during your stay, please ask for details.

Guest access
Guests enter the house through the brown front door on the covered porch and the master suite is off to the left on the main floor. Other parts of the house are not for guest use. Convenient parking is provided right beside the house. Guests can enjoy using the bonfire/picnic and arena area as well, though these are common areas for use by all on the farm. Come and go whenever you please, but when in the space, we ask that complete quiet hours from 10:30pm to 6:30am be strictly respected as it is a shared household.

During your stay
I enjoy meeting my guests and am available in person and via text for questions but generally give guests their space.

Other things to note
For more info about overnight stays for horses, please ask. I can accommodate boat trailers if guest knows how to back-up with the trailer attached (;
Firewood bundles available for $8.

I'm the queen bee for all things farm related...horse boarding, goat/sheep/duck/chicken raising, event planning, hosting, camp directing and gardening/landscaping and I'm usually enjoying all of it!
