Joseph's place was fantastic- just as advertised but even bigger than we had expected. Joseph was really nice and very accessible for any questions and answered them promptly. Wish we could have had more time to spend IN the apartment but were always out exploring. Location was awesome. Quiet part of trastevere, and walking distance to everything. Comfy bed, a/c, huge living room, shower was small but worked fine. Will definitely stay here again if/when in rome in the future! Thanks Joseph!
Joseph was a true Airbnb professional. He was a pleasure to meet and shared valuable advice and knowledge of the area. Being our first trip to Rome, we were extremely pleased with the location and area of the apartment. The apartment itself was spacious, beautiful, inspirational and a pleasure to stay in. I highly recommend staying here when in Rome. I shall be returning. many thanks Joseph
This was a lovey flat! It was our first time to Rome and Joseph met us and gave us a ton of great info about the area. The flat is very well furnished and has everything one could need for their stay. The neighborhood is perfect, amazing coffee right downstairs, an excellent market, and fantastic restaurants everywhere. The flat also provided an excellent hub for walking to all the sites in Rome. I will recommend this place to all my friends, and anyone traveling to Rome.
We had a great stay at Joseph's very central apartment. The cafe's and neighbourhood were very friendly and made us feel very at home. The apartment had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and light and airy. Our three year old son was very happy in the apartment and loved to visit the cafes below. Thanks for a great stay.
So Great !
We spent an unforgettable week in Roma !
Thanks to Joseph,
We really enjoyed his flat : it is lovely, quite big, light and so clean !
There are a lot of beautiful paintings on the walls,
The king size bed is very confortable.
It is well located in Trastevere, a very plaisant area,
with a lot of typical, lovely and small streets and places where you can find nice restaurants, coffees, groceries and shops !
It's the perfect place to be to visit Roma !
From Joseph's flat, we can go to the different places to visit by foot.
The tramway 8 is also very near and goes to Piazza Venezia (Il Vittoriano),
from this place you can reach easily a lot of monuments Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Coloseum, Roman Forum, Trinita dei Monti ....
Joseph is very thoughtful and helpful, the plane was eleven hours delayed, (thanks to Easyjet) and Joseph waited for us until the middle of the night !
We hope to come again to Roma, in Joseph's flat !
Joseph's flat was absolutely beautiful. Really stunning art on the walls, very nicely finished, all kitchen appliances worked perfectly and the bathroom was clean and functional. The location was perfect for us; we were able to walk everywhere and the only time we took a bus was to get up to the train station with all our luggage! Joseph was great at keeping in touch and he was hugely helpful with giving us pointers about where to visit and what to see. He met us late on the first night, as we had a late flight in, and was really helpful. I was a bit concerned about the flat being a bit noisy, as some reviews had stated this, but we were able to sleep with the bedroom windows closed and Joseph offered us aircon if we needed it. We didn't need to use the aircon at all and we slept so so well in this flat, the bed is so comfortable and the flat just has such a nice vibe about it. I loved the neighbourhood too - so many great places to eat, drink coffee, and walk around - we felt very safe and very welcome.
We stayed at Josephs flat for 5 days and cannot fault our stay, this is simply the best location to be in Rome, in a beautiful street in Trastevere with fantastic restaurants, cafes and bars a stones through away. 10 minutes walk to the Collosseum and a 20 minute walk up the river the Vatican city so you are very near all the main sites but away from all the tourists and noise. Staying was THE highlight of our trip.
Joseph was (email hidden), giving us very clear directions from the airport and meeting us at the flat. internet connection is also very strong in the flat and it is also spotless!
For anyone staying in this flat you need to visit the following nearby
Osteria- literally opposite the flat, our favourite meal of our trip, you will see how popular it is when you are there
Da Enzo- 2 minute walk from flat, this is the best pasta dish i have ever tasted in my life
Dar Poeta or Ai Marmi for pizza- both in Trastever less than a 10 min walk, best pizzas we have ever tasted, so fresh
FataMorgana or Fior di Luna- less than a 10 minute walk, fantastic gelato
We found this to be a faultless experience, I have already started recommending this flat to friends.
Very comfortable apartment in a wonderful neighborhood. Excellent restaurants a 10 minute walk.
Joseph was an amazing host. Everything was accurate in the description and the rate was reasonable. He answered all of our questions right away and we had no trouble getting in the apartment upon arrival. Excellent communication and perfect English.
The apartment is in a perfect section of Trastevere- a real neighborhood, good restaurants within the block. Not overwhelmed with the nightlife scene farther to the West. We'll return!
Perfect location in a relatively quiet area of Trastevere. We were well taken care of by Joseph and his friend Marco who managed to find us as we arrived, even when we sent the message that we were waiting/staying for lunch at Oggi da pranzo, which turned out not to be the name of the restaurant but translates "Todays lunch special"!!!
The appartment had everything we needed with a comfortable bed and magnificent floor to ceiling height. There is a small shop for groceries et c. next door and a larger supermarket, "Conad" close to the bus/tram stop Trastevere-Bernadino.
There is walking distance to all major tourist attractions and both bus and tram available if you tire of walking.
There is actually no need to leave Trastevere for lunch/dinner since the area hosts a large number of excellent places to eat. A tip is to reserve a table in advance (a day or two was enough, in april) many of them fill up quickly.
When in Rome again we will for sure stay at this side of the Tiber river and probably not leave it...
