Great flat in an amazing location. We were welcomed by Daniella which was really nice and efficient - Check out was also very easy and convenient. Everything is reachable by foot, and the neighborhood is definitly one of the best in Rome. Great stay !
We had a lovely stay in Rome in Joseph's apartment. It is located in the quiet half of Trastevere, beautiful old streets and buildings, lots of small local cafes and restaurants and beautiful piazzas and churches. It is easily within walking distance of all the major attractions. The apartment had everything we needed, it is tastefully decorated and we felt very relaxed being there. It is on the first floor and overlooks a little street corner and cafe, it felt airy and spacious.
Joseph, our host, was brilliant. He offered plenty of advice about what to see in Rome and where the local hotspots were. On one night the electricity went out and I called Joseph, he arrived within 30 minutes to investigate. By the following morning it was still not back (due to the electricity company) so Joseph arranged another apartment for us, and had a car to transport us there. We did not have to even ask, it was all arranged. In the new apartment I realised I had left some clothes behind by mistake, Joseph collected them and brought them over. So what could have been a disastrous stay turned out great, thanks to Joseph being an excellent host.
Great apartment, great location and a great host - highly recommended!
Joseph was standing outside the building when we arrived and spent a half-hour with us telling us about the neighborhood and the apartment. The apartment was just as advertised. Quite comfortable and well-equipped. And a very comfortable bed!
The neighborhood was wonderful. In the middle of many restaurants of narrow, cobble-stoned streets, with a vibrant street life. We loved the street noise below and at bedtime, just shut the door between the living room and the hall and didn't hear a thing.
The location was perfect. Easy to walk to everything we wanted to see.
We enjoyed meeting Joseph and there was no problem finding the flat or him. We arrived by taxi from the Rome train station. We loved staying in this wonderful neighborhood. There are two bars across the street (both made us feel very welcome), a food store and two fantastic restaurants across the street (but you have to make sure you have reservations!) There is a taxi station within 5 minute walk and the tram stops there too. When you are in the flat you feel you are a part of the neighborhood- not in a bad way. We heard a group rehearsing for a musical recital, saw the little black dog that belongs to the owner of the bar across the street- he rules the roost! And the general voices of the small streets below. There was even a tree outside the window. I would like to comeback and spend some time here again- only longer. The AC in the bedroom was welcome.
The flat is very well equipped- kettle both Italian and American coffee makers- lots of pots and pans- just about everything you could want- but who wants to stay in and cook?
We very much enjoyed our stay at Joseph's Artist's Flat. It was clean and well provisioned. An excellent base for exploring Rome. Within about 10 meters of the door are a good deli/bakery, excellent coffee bar and a wonderful restaurant popular with locals. I would gladly return to spend more time. Check-in was smooth.
Joseph's apartment was superb, perfectly located in Trastevere.
Amazingly high ceilings :)
Very clean, close of everything, had a warm and friendly welcome.
Was a big plus in our overall visit of Rome.
