About this listing
Style, comfort & class are the hallmarks of this unique residence in the chic leafy suburb of Ranelagh. 20 minutes walk to the city centre makes for the perfect combination of quiet safe streets and easy access to all Dublin has to offer.
This house is less than fifteen years old, and with an architectural twist on most Irish houses, it was built with the living area upstairs, and a large balcony area, to provide for beautiful natural lighting. There are two comfortable double bedrooms downstairs, with one en-suite and one main bathroom, both of which are recently installed and in pristine condition, and a secure parking space for one small car. The first floor contains a living area, balcony, and a kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven and ironing equipment. Business travellers have been particularly enthusiastic, with easy access to the city centre, high speed wi-fi, and plenty of space to relax if the opportunity arises!
Access all areas, to fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, to warm living space with 25MB wifi, to comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Interaction with Guests
I love to welcome guests on arrival, and to provide helpful advice at any time throughout the stay, to make sure that guests find the best that Dublin has to offer.
There is a local shop and traditional Irish pub just twenty seconds walk from the house. Nearby, Rathmines is a busy village known for its ethnic diversity, which has all the amenities one could require, including four supermarkets for all budgets, a gym with swimming pool, a cinema and plenty of eateries. Prices are €6 for the pool, €6.50 for a gym visit or group fitness class. For a more sophisticated experience, head to uber-chic Ranelagh which hosts some of Dublin's best restaurants and bars.
The Dublin bike system is the most pleasant way to see the city, and two Dublin bike passes are provided for unlimited free use of the service during your stay. The main city centre shopping thoroughfare, Grafton Street, is just a fifteen minute walk from the house. Nearby tram stops and bus stops are available.
Other Things to Note

When we arrived at the place, Alan was very helpful by giving information on how to reach the nearby city center and where to find a place to park the car etc.
Thank you very much.
Alan's apartment was in a great location between Ranleagh and Rathmines ... And an easy stroll into at Stephens green, Grafton St - 2 beds and 2 baths - perfect for 2 couples - clean and bright - with an outdoor balcony ...but very secure ...Alan met us and responded quickly to all comms ... We just fell in love with Dublin
This was such a charming listing - perfect location, great host, and cozy spot! Perfect for a weekend trip to Dublin for work. Alan met us on arrival and was extremely helpful with getting us situated. He was easily available throughout our stay if we had any questions. Overall, definitely recommend this listing!
Nice home and neighborhood. 15 minutes to the city center, in a quiet area, close to pubs and restaurants. The owner is accesfull and friendly. Dublín is an exciting city.
The apartment was great. It is very spacious and was clean and had all the amenities we needed (including US-Ireland plug-in adaptors, which we forgot). Alan was very nice, responsive, accommodating and a great host. It is a bit far from sort of downtown Dublin area (about 25-30 min walk) but we ended up using Uber so that was fine.
Good location near Ranelagh which was great for restaurants (Brioche was a big hit!). The walk into central Dublin was fine, even with a buggy, and buses were just around the corner too. The house was comfortable and bright and airy and we had full use of kitchen appliances etc. Alan quickly sorted us out with movies when we couldn't get the media player to work and left us with printed information which he also explained, detailing taxi numbers and local information etc. He even gave us some good take away place names for our first night! Comfy beds and a good hot shower too. All in all, we enjoyed our stay there and recommend it to other travellers.
Alan was a brilliant host, we were made to feel very welcome. He had everything well organised and the apartment was clean and tidy. Great location and stunning apartment. Perfect for a weekend in Dublin. Will highly recommend to friends.
