Welcome to your fabulous, funky & modern Chillax Barcelona Apartment in the heart of Barcelona, Spain. This apartment has been completely refurbished to a high standard and is available for holiday rentals, staycations or even workcations. It is in a residential building dating back to ca. 1890 so there is a very nice contrast between the building and the apartment as well as inside the apartment where you still will find the original tiles in the bedroom and both bathrooms as well as some original doors.

It's also well worth mentioning that the apartment is 'interior'. That means it is not facing the streets. So you don't hear any noise from the cars or Barcelona's 'famous' rubbish collection at night at all. Though the apartment is facing a very small communal park also called 'La Isla' where sometimes the locals have a little chat about the latest soap opera on television or take out their dogs during the day. The park is closed at nights.

In theory the apartment can sleep up to 5 people according to the tourism license but for true comfort I offer the apartment now only for up to 2 guests. Really a quirky fun place for one guest, couples, lovers or single business travellers (there is a desk and chair too).

The bathroom does have a shower, basin & toilet. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with all you may be looking for including fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee machine, water kettle and toaster. The washing machine, a tumble dryer, the iron and the ironing board are in a separate small storage room. There is a clothes rail rack with about 15 hangers but not a traditional wardrobe.

Most recently I renewed the windows with double-glazing and even electrical blinds/shutters. There is also a new wall mounted air conditioning/heating system with two units. The system does have a 'plasma purification option' completely removing microscopic contaminants from the intake air to supply clean and fresh air.

There are a total of three televisions, one DVD player and superfast 'fibra optica' Wifi. There is no cable or satellite television or entertainment such as Netflix.

Chillax Barcelona Apartment is very centrally located in Sant Antoni in the district of Eixample. Just a short walk to nearby Plaza Universitat, Plaza Catalunya, Rambla de Catalunya, Paseig de Gracia, Diagonal and a favourite with many visitors ‘Las Ramblas’ or 'La Boqueria'. The neighbourhoods of El Raval, El Barri Gotic and El Born are also within easy walking distance.

There are several transport options such as the metro stations Universitat, Urgell or Sant Antoni and numerous bus options taking you directly to many of the lovely beaches that Barcelona has to offer as well as Plaza Espana, Parc Guell or La Sagrada Familia. Only minutes away are the Aerobus stops of Urgell and Plaza Universitat coming from the airport El Prat or the bus stop Carrer de Sepulveda taking you to the airport El Prat. From the train stations Paseig de Gracia or Estacion de Sants are numerous trains if you fancy a visit to beautiful Sitges or Girona as well as other destinations.

And then of course there is also a fabulous choice of cafes, restaurants, bars or clubs for those wanting to explore Barcelona’s infamous nightlife. Other shops including supermarkets are there in abundance too as well as the recently reopened Sant Antoni Market.

The neighborhood of Sant Antoni is located entirely within Eixample, forming the large district’s bottom corner. It stretches between Plaza Espanya and Plaza Universitat, in the shape of a triangle wedged between the roads Gran Via de Les Corts Catalanes and Parallel.

Sant Antoni is one of Barcelona’s trendiest neighborhoods. It’s a popular place to live or stay for its slightly quieter atmosphere and central location. The vibe of the neighborhood is relaxed and local, with plenty of great tapas bars and cafés with outdoor seating. The 'heart' of the neighbourhood is the Sant Antoni Market. There’s also a popular secondhand book market that takes place outside the building on Sundays. It’s a great place to relax, explore, and experience the local atmosphere of one of Barcelona’s most charming neighborhoods.

Hola Hola! I was born in a small town and lived in a tiny village near Frankfurt Main. I moved to England as an exchange student for my studies where I ended up staying for 18 years - now thats's a very long year to be an exchange student no?

I tried my hands on all kinds of jobs including in the music industry and running my own massage and beauty company working with all the major London hotels for 11 years.

I fell in love with Barcelona in April 2000. I remember it like yesterday! And then Barcelona was calling in 2009 so I relocated and I am still in love with it and the lifestyle that comes with it.

If there is one thing I can't live without then it is Tina Turner. I have been a fan of hers for over 30 years now and even had the honour to meet her once in person.

I love exploring new cities and countries but I am also a huge fan of beautiful countrysides and nature in general. I walk a lot sometimes up to 5 hours I just can't stop sometimes. Once I walked El Camino de Santiago in Spain - some 800 km in 23 days!

I love to meet friends for a coffee, a drink or a little dance to swing the hips from time to time.

If I have a life motto then it is: 'If you don't try, you simply won't know'!
