Whether it's the fresh orchids, the luxurious furnishings or the convenient, safe and quiet location -- Kelly and Michael have thought of everything to ensure that you have a wonderful stay at their studio. Most importantly, their both have made themselves available 24/7 so that if you ever have any questions, they are there for you always. Beautiful studio, excellent communication. This place books up fast, and with good reason.
Although we didn't meet our hosts we truly enjoyed our time in SB. Coming from Amsterdam, we loved having bikes waiting for us. We biked to Brophy's Bros for lunch and followed the recommendations of another guest of Kelly & Michael for dinner: the Lark. Both solid choices. Very good value for money this B&B and we'll certainly recommend this place!
Our hosts were terrific and their place was 5 star. We are seasoned business and global travelers and had a wonderful experience with the property. They are so thoughtful in the details (including the comp snacks, bikes, high quality linens) and the apartment was 1st class. We loved Santa Barbara and can't wait to return. And when we do, we will be staying here again. I wish all of our airbnb experiences were like this!
Kelly and Michael are truly amazing hosts. They have thought of absolutely everything to ensure that your stay is as easy, relaxing, and beautiful as possible. They made our one-night stay really memorable. (I loved that they had two bikes complete with helmets, locks, and baskets ready for us to explore downtown and the beach...and a bottle of wine for us to share when we got back!)I highly recommend staying at this lovely property!
For our one-night in Santa Barbara, we couldn't have been luckier to find such a beautiful place to stay. Kelly & Michael's studio is simply gorgeous. The historical element to this lovely place is blended perfectly with every traveler's convenience and more. Wine, cheese and crackers, bottled waters, coffee and even an iPad for our use were provided. The day before our arrival we received a timely email warning of possible rain, although umbrellas awaited our arrival and a very light mist that evaporated quickly. The studio is located in a lovely, safe neighborhood and is a short walk to SB's downtown. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
Kelly and Michael are the best hosts you could ever ask for. Their place is secure, beautiful, private and incredibly relaxing. The spa was perfect, the bikes were great, and Kelly and Michael had a ton of great recommendations for what to do in Santa Barbara. Our favorite place that we ate at was the Lark in downtown's Funk Zone. Additionally, they have a great "20 Hikes in Santa Barbara" that easily outlined some of Santa Barbara's best and quickest hikes.
Thanks again Kelly and Michael for making this an unforgettable weekend in Santa Barbara!
My boyfriend and I spent a night at Kelly's & Michael's lovely studio and had a great time! The pictures listed are 100% accurate! The place was beautifully decorated and very comfy! We had the pleasure of meeting Kelly and he showed us around and made us feel right at home. They have literally thought of everything! Their studio has the amenities of a 5 star hotel and offers complete privacy! We can't wait to go back! Highly recommended!
My wife and I had a great stay at Michael and Kelly's place in Santa Barbara. They have a warm and inviting apartment that is spotlessly clean and better than many hotels I have stayed in. After driving down from Monterey, it was great to walk into the apartment and be welcomed with a bottle of wine and complimentary snacks. It was also nice to use the bikes and ride down State street and along the coast route the next morning. We only were able to say 1 night but it was really great. I'd stay again and recommend it to anyone.
This is, without a doubt, the best airbnb experience we've ever had! This room is a $1000 a night hotel room for a fraction of the price. Michael was incredibly friendly and helpful. We will absolutely be referring them to anyone who is passing through Santa Barbara.
We loved our stay with Kelly and Michael. The place had been recently renovated and they did a fabulous job! Every detail in this authentic hacienda-style home was attended to and nothing was overlooked. The space was cozy and had the high-end feel of a suite in an expensive, beautifully designed hotel. Michael and Kelly were warm and welcoming with excellent suggestions for dining and thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and a complete stock of snacks and drinks. An iPad offered sightseeing and other ideas for things to do, while the remote operated bed provided a welcome massage after a long day.
We particularly liked the lovely stone terrace (heated if chilly), with a hot tub and fireplace, to relax on with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Lovely, thick robes were provided along with an excellent array of quality toiletries. We highly recommend this studio for couples that want something a little nicer...only a couple minutes out of town, it was convenient and very quiet...And the landscaping was the loveliest in the area. We will definitely be back.
