Your own private bedroom only 15 min subway ride away from Times in a two bedroom apartment.
I live in the apartment's second bedroom, so you'll be sharing the apartment with me. Sometimes my boyfriend visits as well. The rooms are pretty far apart and you would barely see me around. The bathroom would be shared.
The room has all the necessary furniture, Queen bed and an extra twin mattress if there is three of you.
The shower and bathroom are shared.
You can use the kitchen and the fridge, stove, and microwave.
There is free wifi.
The neighborhood is residential and quiet, but pretty safe. It's Columbia University area so it is often patrolled by the university security.
There is a 24-hour grocery store one block away and many restaurants and bar within a minute of walk.
Subway line 1 which is the Columbia University stop is 5 min walk away.
Subway lines D,B, C,A are 10 minute walk away.
Morningside parks is a block away and Central park is 10 blocks away.
There is free parking on the street.
You can expect a welcoming host and feel at home. I don't have much regulation and am not sound sensitive. On rare occasions when I leave town, I sometimes also rent my own bedroom, in case you're sensitive to this, please ask me so I let you know if I will be out of town or not. Thanks.
Free parking on the street, light use of the kitchen, microwave, and the fridge.
It's very safe, full of students and lively nights. But the apartment is in a residential neighborhood, so you don't get much sound at all.
Yes, subway and buses close by. Will email you the instructions once you book.
I email my guests a list of the good restaurants in the city and places they could visit.
Lovely stay with warm welcome and cozy bedroom. Mehrnoush was a gracious host who made me feel very welcome during the 4 nights that I was there.. Great location right near Columbia and subway with lots of nice restaurants nearby
My partner and I had a great time in New York and Mehrnoush was a perfect host. (She is a film maker too, so we had lots to talk about) We had plenty of room to hang clothes, the bed was amazingly comfortable (and this really matters to me). Like all New York apartments it was very warm ( lovely ), and she was fine if I opened the window if it got too hot, so keeping the temp right for us was no problem. The shower is really strong and good temp. The kitchen is tiny and basic but absolutely fine to make breakfast or a snack which is money saving and convenient. Coffee is available and on the go all the time in Mehrnoush's machine! Mehrnoush and her boyfriend have a bedroom at the far end of a long thin apartment, their room is on the far side of the living space so we had complete privacy in our bedroom which is at the other end and next to the bathroom. The room is large enough to have space to have an armchair (and cupboards of course) and open our suitcases, and you can get out of the bed from both sides. It was clean and comfortable. It was beautifully quiet, except for snow clearing noises! (which meant the path to the door was always kept clear and ice free). Mehrnoush and Mohammed were quiet and also considerate and helpful about information when we needed it. We were attending a festival at Barnard College which is opposite Columbia University. It was about 5 mins walk or less. The Subway was nearby too on a good line for going downtown. It felt very safe. There is a brilliant 24 hour store just round the corner for all food and general necessities. We walked, one snowy day, from our apt up to Central Park and across to the Guggenheim Museum in the snow and sun. FABULOUS. And very good value for money.
Mehrnoush's apartment is very clean and tidy. And she is a really good person. She gave us many suggestions about food and place in NYC. We had a wonderful stay here! Strong recommended!
Good location, 7 blocks from Columbia Metro Station... I saw Mehrnoush 2 minutes for check-in and check-out.... NY is really expensive, so overall it was good.
Highly recommended place to stay. My girlfriend and I stayed at this place for the new year's eve. The apartment is nice and convenient. It was easy for us to catch either bus and subway. As a landlord Mehrnoush was so kind and helpful. My girlfriend caught cold during our stay. Thanks for Mehrnoush's help she got way better in the following morning.
Mehrnoush was fantastic. She was really flexible with check in and check out times (our ride to the city ran late and she was really lovely about the whole thing.) The apartment is really nice and In a great great location. I would absolutely stay with her again
Mehrnoush's space and accommodations were great and my stay was very pleasant. I'd recommend anyone to stay with her.
My stay with Mehrnoush was fine. She was very nice. Communication with her was quick via phone/text. She even e-mailed me a list of suggestions to check out since I was just visiting NYC for fun.
The room was clean and well prepared. Extra pillows, sheets, wi-fi, utensils, TV, etc. Basically anything you'd want in a hotel room. There's parking in front of her building.
I recommend her place.
She was wonderful + accommodating for my last-minute stay when I was in a pickle with family in town. She even gave me a special good-neighbor offer. I'd happily return the favor to her + would love to stay again when holidays get hectic. So sweet, personable, hard-working + happy.
Thanks very much for a lovely stay!
