This bright, spacious apartment is on Sydney Harbour with a walkway around the water to Fish Markets and Darling Harbour. It's absolute waterfront with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, great water views and all mod cons. Great value for excellent property.

The Space

The apartment is on the 5th floor above White Bay and has water views from just about everywhere within. The main view is across the harbour to Balmain and the cruise terminal from both the large open plan kitchen and lounge room as well as the spacious covered balcony. There are also expansive water views from both bedrooms across to Anzac Bridge and Waterfront Park. (The main bedroom with king size bed and ensuite and the second with a queen size bed and own bathroom)
This contemporary apartment is a five minute walk to Darling Harbour and two minutes to The Star Casino and the Fish Markets and an easy 15 minute walk to Sydney's CBD. It's a safe area to walk around in a very friendly part of Sydney with local pubs serving good food. The Point Hotel is a two minute walk and (email hidden)ly, friendly atmosphere. Otherwise there's plenty of public transport close by- Light Rail to City Central and Bus route 443 to the CBD, shopping district and Circular Quay for ferry terminals. There's also a ferry terminal five minutes walk away, just next to the Maritime Museum which goes across the harbour but the best information is on the brochures and maps I've left for guests.
The lounge room and kitchen are open plan with the total frontage and part of the side having floor to ceiling windows and/or sliding doors.
There are restaurants within easy walking distance. A major shopping centre, Broadway is a few minutes from the apartment and IGA Supa store is three blocks away.
It's a nice, modern apartment and is very appealing when you walk into it, especially on a sunny day with the water shimmering and small boats passing by. Guests have enjoyed the peaceful location which is a major plus considering its close proximity to the city.

Any apartment, or five star hotel for that matter, offering anything like what this has to offer is way more expensive which is worth checking - perhaps check apartments in Darling Harbour.

Please contact me for more information if you're interested.

Regards Pam

Guest Access

Guests need to ring on arrival so I can come down to let them in or give them code to enter.
Some cupboards are closed with no access for guests.

Interaction with Guests

Before arrival via email or phone and on arrival to briefly explain what's what, go through any questions they may have and to hand over keys.
Otherwise, I'm usually available on my mobile.

The Neighborhood

The apartment complex is fairly small and very well maintained. Apartments were built ten years ago but there are examples of some of the history in the area. It has a safe, friendly feel to it - a few restaurants, great pubs with good food and regular public transport (bus and light rail)
Guests should enjoy a walk around the waterfront to the Fishmarkets to Glebe and/or the other way to Jones Bay Wharf and Darling Harbour. Sydney's CBD is a pleasant 15 minute walk.

Getting around

The regular bus 443 (a two minute walk from the apartment) goes to the city centre and main ferry terminal at Circular Quay about every ten minutes It's a ten minute trip to the CBD (which can be walked in less than 20 minutes). There's also light rail (2 minutes walk to the stop) which goes via the Entertainment Centre to Central Station and Chinatown. Brochures and information will be at my apartment for guests' use.

Other Things to Note

A couple of guests have had parties but unfortunately this is not allowed as this is purely for accommodation and for guests (maximum four) to enjoy the apartment.

A minimum of seven days is required over Christmas and New Year.

  • The location is in a fantastic area close walking distance to Darling Harbour. We were lucky enough to be in Sydney for the Vivid festival which was great. Pamela was away the weekend we stayed but organised a smooth check in with someone to greet us when we arrived. It was lovely walking along the water in the mornings and grabbing breakfast at Zebra Lounge.

  • A lovely weekend in Sydney. Close to public transport into CBD, and being by the harbour lovely. Verandah lovely for breakfast watching boats and rowers going by and fish markets a short walk. Direct feedback provided to owner on adding luxury/ extra special touches to make this a luxurious experience. Otherwise apartment well equipped, spacious and neat and today. Pam is an excellent communicator and met us, showed us through , which was great. Thanks.

  • The location was terrific. We were only there for two days and I wish we had more time to explore the neighborhood. Lots of restaurants, pubs, great walking area. The view from the apt. was fabulous, and it was lovely to sit on the deck and watch the harbor activity.
The apt. was large, good size bedrooms. The king bed was very comfortable.

  • We are delighted that we found Pamela's beautiful apartment listed on air bnb. The apartment is gorgeous - spacious and has everything you need. We were incredibly comfortable staying there and you could not ask for a better location. It is so central yet tucked away down a very quiet street. We could easily walk to Darling Harbour and all the main points in Sydney which was fantastic. We loved coming back each day to sit on the balcony with a sun downer watching the boats go by. Bliss! Pamela was very quick to respond to our enquiry and was a great host, answering all of our questions promptly and leaving perfectly clear instructions for the apartment etc.. We will definitely stay at Pamela's place again next time we are in Sydney - it is a real gem. Thank you Pam!

  • Pamela is a wonderful host and easily contactable. The apartment is great and the water views are so interesting and always changing. The apartment is very well set up and the bed in the master suite is wonderfully comfortable. The location is fantastic and it is very easy to get around. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back.

  • We had a lovely stay at this 2 bed apartment over the New Year.
The location was ideal. We have a 7 and 9 year old and the walk to the most common tourist attractions (Wild Life Zoo, Aquarium, Opera House) were manageable. It is a long walk to and from the Botanical Gardens, an alternative would be to walk there and take the ferry or 555 bus most of the way back. As for anyone considering this apartment for New Year's: we found Pyrmont Park a great free place to watch the fireworks. We arrived at 7pm and had seats along the wharf with full view of the bridge for the 9pm showing. We could see the fireworks from the apt. balcony but not the bridge for the midnight show.
The apartment itself was clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable. The only words of advice would be to get instructions for the dishwasher (ie what setting to use) and oven if you are not familiar with gas or Aussie appliances.

About
I'm a travel writer who has lived in Sydney for many years and for the last ten, have enjoyed apartment living on the water and close to the city's amenities. Having moved from a 'leafy northern suburb' I appreciate walking along the waterfront, having the CBD easily accessible either by excellent public transport or a 15 minute walk through Darling Harbour and being close to many and varied restaurants, pubs and cafes.
