The neighborhood is great. Quiet, not a lot of traffic. Lots of great places to eat, drink and shop within walking distance.
Bus stops within walking distance.
The house was a bit hard to find using GPS, but once we found it everything was great! It is a cute twin home/duplex, and is exactly as described. It was about a 7 minute drive to the Plaza which was very handy!
Very accommodating and great location to boulevard brewing and to the main hub of Westport. House was beautiful and cozy, great location and high accessibility to Kansas City.
The place was great. Good location, quiet neighborhood down the street from KU Med, 5 minutes from the Plaza. Very nice rooms and linens. Really appreciated the washer/dryer in the kitchen!
Jim was a great host and really went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of.
The location is a bit tricky to find, but otherwise great. Though near state-line road, the house and neighborhood is quiet. Really close to a park, which we jogged to one morning.
The duplex itself is quiet and cozy. Plenty of room for a large family to relax and unwind.
And the place is just minutes from the Nelson, the Plaza, Union Station, and all the best BBQ Kansas City has to offer.
Jim made us feel very welcome during our stay! When we arrived he showed us around and even had a little gift for our stay. Within a few minutes of our arrival Jim had printed out a sheet of paper with the door combination (which we set) and the WiFi password. We had absolutely no problems during our stay. Everything was clean and organzined. The newly renovated bathroom was an added bonus.
The duplex is nestled near the back of a quite neighborhood with old and new house. We always felt safe! When we come back to Kansas City I have no doubt that we will stay with Jim again!
Jim, our host, greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the duplex and explained the various things we needed to know (door lock, TV, heating, kitchen appliances, and such). He was very congenial and helpful during our stay.
With the listing description and reviews I read, I already felt familiar with the place when we arrived. There were no surprises. It is an older building in an older neighborhood, which we like. The neighborhood is quiet, pleasant and interesting.
I've stayed here twice because I love the location! 39th Street is fun to explore but we took a 20 min walk to Westport. I love the variety of homes in the area.
Jim was friendly and helpful, even offering the oven/fridge in another unit on Thanksgiving.
We often said, "this place feels so homey". That bed in the main bedroom upstairs is soooo comfortable. The Bathroom up there was freshly renovated. Great TV downstairs. Although the kitchen is small, it had a full refrigerator and all I needed.
To finish, this place is delightful because Jim puts those special little things here which makes the difference to me. I love the plants and I loved the Art on the walls and the excellent books in his "library". Thank you, Jim. I will be back.

I am a very laid back host, love meeting people. I run a small interiorscaping company. I have one friendly dog, and provide foster care for a second dog occasionally when a local shelter runs short of room and asks for help.
I am a 'history buff' and love to read.Interests are music, movies, travel, gardening and tropical plants.
