It's a typical Gracia style with decorative tiled floors. The flat has WiFi.

The neighbourhood is excellent! It is safe and clean with lots of bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and squares, where you can enjoy a drink or tapas. There is also a market nearby, which sells fresh local produce and lots of health food shops. The Verdi cinema shows films in orginal version. The area is relaxed, with more of a local, village feel, but still close to the city centre.
It is a ten minute walk to Sagrada Familia and Pasieg de Gracia, where you will find Guadi's Casa Batlló and La Pedrera and the city's designer shops. It is also just a few minutes walk to Paseig San Joan, which is a nice long leafy avenue with benches and cycle paths, where you can take a leisurely walk or cycle down directly towards Plaza Tetuan, Arc de Triumph and Parc Ciutadella.
Every year in August for five days from 15 to 21 Aug, there is a famous fiesta in Gracia where they decorate the streets and have music and dances in the squares. It's a fantastic event, that you will be able to enjoy, if you are here at that time.
There are several metro stations you can use and you have access to both the yellow (L4) and green lines.(L3). It is no more than two or three stops into the centre (nr. Plaza de Cataluña) depending on which line you take. The yellow line also takes you directly to the Born district (10 mins) and to all the city beaches, including Barceloneta (15 mins). If you take the green line two stops in the other direction you will arrive at Vallcarca, which is the stop that connects you with Parc Guell. If you prefer to walk, it is a twenty minute walk from Gracia to Vallcarca.
There is also a bike rental shop 5 mins walk from the flat where you can rent a bike for the day for 7 euros (at time of writing). The owner of shop is a very friendly Dutch man who speaks English and other languages well.

I'm from West Yorkshire in England and I'm in my thirties. I have lived in different places around the world and now I have settled in Barcelona. I enjoy Iyengar yoga, running, swimming at the outdoor pool and renovating and restoring furniture. I also like walking or cycling around the city, going to the beach, having a drink or food with friends and going to concerts. When I'm not out and about, I like to relax at home by reading or listening to music.
