The Space

Centrally located within the heart of intown Atlanta, this is a secluded gem. The subject of numerous TV and magazine features, this may be the most romantic, unique, dreamy and fun place you'll ever stay. Fall asleep in the trees and wake up to the birds singing around you!

Living Room: Antique furnishings including 80 year old butterfly-filled windows, 12-candle chandelier, and a balcony overlooking an acre of lush woods. It is the perfect place to relax.

Bedroom: Sleeps 2. The pillow-top double bed is fitted with sumptuous linens and slides out onto a platform that overlooks the stream below. A small desk, primitive side-tables, an antique birdcage, Kilim rugs, candles and fairy lights make it as comfortable as it is magical.

Deck: Circular seating and a hammock lying beneath a 150 year old Southern Short-Leaf Pine tree.

The treehouses are open to the elements but are protected by rain with tin roofs and mosquitoes by the elevation and breeze.

Guest Access

Guests will have free parking in our driveway (We highly recommend renting a car in Atlanta) and access to a private, indoor bathroom within the main house (about a 20 second walk from the treehouses).

Interaction with Guests

Upon your arrival, we will have a great bottle of wine and a basket of snacks waiting for you. Coffee will be provided each morning.

  • The treehouse was absolutely beautiful. The setting was quiet and a nice escape from the city. We were really impressed with the attention to detail in both the treehouse itself and the hospitality from Peter. We can't wait to come back!

  • Words and pictures don't do this place justice. Stayed one night in the treehouses with my girlfriend for a surprise getaway. Left with her as my fiancé! Peter went above and beyond to make our stay more than anything we could imagine. We are already wanting to go back.

  • We loved every minute of our stay in the treehouse! Sleeping under the stars was just amazing and listening to the rain as it fell through the trees and onto the tin roof was magical! Peter was a warm and gracious host and Daisy the dog was the sweetest. We had so much fun that I blogged about our visit... you can see my photos here:

  • We had an absolutely amazing time at this magical place. We were greeted by friendly hosts and talked a bit as they showed us around. We are Atlanta natives and needed a night away from reality for our anniversary, and this place definitely did the trick! After we grabbed dinner we came back to some complimentary wine that we sipped on as we went from room to room admiring all the details. You can really tell this place was created with a lot of heart. It felt totally secluded, and I'm so glad we got a reservation in June because we got to lay in the bed outside and doze off as we watched the fireflies surround us and light up the woods. It was truly magical and anyone fond of the outdoors should experience it. Also amazingly enough no bugs bothered us at all! I get more bug bites on my own porch! In the morning there was fresh coffee left for us and after another quick chat with our host we left with a smile on our face, and in a state of relaxation that lasted all week. Thank you to our hosts for letting us experience your own little neverland and I look forward to coming back!

  • From the time we pulled up into the driveway, Peter (and Daisy) greeted us and we felt so welcomed! Peter was so cooperative in helping me to surprise my husband for his birthday. He even let our daughters tour the treehouse before they left us there. What a kind and interesting host. The experience was way more than I expected. We were so relaxed staying there and my husband says he'll never top this gift. It was truly magical. We still can't believe that this beautiful treasure exists within a neighborhood in Atlanta.

  • The tree houses speak for themselves- incredible! Photos do not do this location justice. The overall feeling of exclusion and being in and amongst a truly natural setting in the midst of busy Atlanta makes this place an all-inclusive utopia for the nature-lover drawn to perks of city living. Though we were only in the space for a 1 day photo shoot, we could have spent many days here. Katie and Peter were very hospitable and made sure we were comfortable and content throughout the shoot. Not to mention, in looking through the photos, one would guess we were in a woodland area somewhere in south-west New Zealand! We couldn't be happier with our visit. Thank you Katie and Peter!

  • What a magical place! Katie and Peter were great hosts. The treehouse is like something out of a movie. It was incredibly peaceful, rustic but romantic as well. Also totally protected from rain. And they allow use of a private area in the house for showering and storing your luggage

They provided wine and snacks then coffee in the morning. They also provided a comprehensive list of the best places to eat in the area - very knowledgeable.

  • Generous, hospitable and fun. We had a great time in the treehouse and enjoyed the conversations that we had with our hosts. They were extremely helpful. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. We were in the middle of a neighborhood, but felt completely secluded, and comfortable. And just because it was quiet doesn't mean it was at all far from restaurants or stores. A great stay.

  • The Treehouse is totally magical. It was amazing to feel so far away from everything, pretty much smack in the middle of Atlanta. It would be hard not to be happy at this place, the birds, the frogs, the owl all of it. Peter and Katie where perfect hosts.

I work in the wine industry and my husband is an environmental activist and 3d photographer. He built the treehouses as an escape within the city and together, we've made it into a vacation at home. We hoped to create a setting that was both secluded and quiet but also warm and welcoming. Many of our favorite times have happened there--from parties with friends to quiet afternoons reading the paper. But while we love being at home, we equally love traveling. We find that seeing new places and meeting new people is as exciting as being in our treehouses is calming. Through Airbnb, we want to share our hideway with other travelers who seek adding something special to their trip.
