Suite of 3 connected treehouse rooms within secluded intown Buckhead. Set amongst lush greenery, each room is beautifully furnished with antiques, natural artifacts and the sounds of the trees around you. It's a perfect city retreat.
Centrally located within the heart of intown Atlanta, the treehouses are a hidden gem. The subject of numerous TV and magazine features, they are often described as being the most relaxing, romantic, dreamy and unique place you'll ever stay. What could be better than falling asleep in the trees and waking up to birds singing around you--all within the city limits?
The treehouse consists of 3 separate rooms, each connected by rope-bridges. Descriptions of the 3 rooms are below.
Living Room: Antique furnishings including 80 year old butterfly-filled windows, a 12-candle chandelier, comfortable, antique seating for 6, and a balcony overlooking an acre of lush woods.
Bedroom: Sleeps 2. The pillow-top double bed--fitted with sumptuous, organic linens--is equipped with wheels so it can either be rolled out onto a platform that overlooks the stream below or inside the room for further insulation. A small desk, primitive side-tables, an antique birdcage, Kilim rugs, votives and fairy lights make it comfortable and enchanting.
Deck: Circular seating for 10 and a hammock lying beneath a 150 year old Southern Short-Leaf Pine tree. Open to the elements and immersed in thick greenery.
Guests will have free parking in our driveway (We highly recommend renting a car in Atlanta) and access to a full, private, indoor bathroom within the main house (about a 20 second walk from the treehouses).
Interaction with Guests
Other than showing you around when you arrive and bringing coffee in the morning, we'll completely respect your privacy and leave you alone. However, because the main house is on the same lot, we are readily available if you need help with anything.
Other Things to Note
****A LIMITED NUMBER OF ONE-NIGHT STAYS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST FOR $375 /NIGHT****

What a magical trip. Peter is the kind of charismatic guy that makes you feel instantly comfortable.
The neighborhood is great. Rolling hills, tall old trees and beautiful homes. Close enough to midtown but far enough away it's tranquil.
The treehouses were even better than the photos. Higher up in the trees than you can tell from the photos which only adds to the feelings of being in the forest. The private entrance to the bathroom and bedroom is very close.
The treehouse was nothing short of amazing!! Peter and Katie were so great! We went into Atlanta a couple of times but decided next time we go to the treehouse, and we will return, we won't go anywhere else. It's beautiful and magic and it was the best sleep I've had in decades.
This place was right out of a fairytale. Every square inch was magical. It was great getting to meet Peter and Katie. They were both so nice and accommodating. We were given a bottle of wine, water, and snacks upon arrival & in the morning coffee was delivered (in the rain). I'm so glad that we decided to stay here and I highly recommend this place to anyone that is interested.
While I regularly use AirBnB for work / personal travel -- over 15 times in the last year -- no property or AirBnB experience I've ever had has ever come close to what Peter and Katie have created.
This property is pure magic.
And it is a thousand times worth getting on a plane to fly across country -- as my wife and I did just this past weekend -- just to stay in this tree-lined wonderland.
The photos (which Peter and Katie provided) do brilliant justice to what you'll experience, so expect nothing less. But truth be told, until you are living the bridges and nighttime fairy lights and bird calls and dappling sunlight, no photo will be as good as the experience itself.
And, as a bonus, Peter and Katie are truly wonderful hosts in every respect. Get to know them. Take time to hear stories and learn about why they created this remarkable property for others to visit.
A few more things: welcome the morning coffee that arrives by gentle bell; definitely sleep 'under the stars' on the balcony; choose to order a pizza and eat on site one night (no matter how tempted you are to go out for a brilliant meal); spend more time napping at the treehouse than being an active tourist in town; and be prepared to be transported away from everything you left at home.
We loved staying at the Treehouse! Did you have that dream as a child to live in a treehouse? If so, this is where to fulfill that dream. It was a charming experience and we will be back. We would recommended it for anyone. Even if the outdoors isn't for you, this is still a great experience. It's outside of downtown Atlanta (only about 15 minutes) so you can still pop into the city for drinks, dinner or tourist adventures. We took Uber back and forth and it only cost us $10 one way (way better than a taxi). We had a great dinner only a mile away from the treehouse that the owner suggested, its was delicious.
The neighborhood that the treehouse is in is adorable and quiet. We met Pete and his dog Daisy, they was very hospitable. We felt very comfortable, safe, and it is private. We got exactly what we expected and a little bit more. Honestly, I could go on and on about how great it is.
Thank you Pete and Katie
This place is amazing! Katie and Peter are kind and were wonderful to welcome us into their own little backyard retreat. It doesn't feel at all like you're still inside Atlanta. Their kindness, plus the small details such as the bottle of wine & snacks, and heated mattress pad make all the difference. Unfortunately it was freakishly cold in Atlanta the night we were supposed to stay here - 25 degrees! so we ended up relaxing in the treehouse all afternoon and evening, but then retreated to the warmth of the "real" indoors when it was time for bed.
We could not have asked for anything different or better, except maybe a few ticks on a thermometer. We will definitely be coming back next year when it warms up to experience this wonderful place again.
Thank you, Katie & Peter, for helping to make Erin's birthday so wonderful!
What an overall wonderful experience....friendly and personable hosts who give the perfect amount of privacy and space!
I work in the wine industry and my husband is an environmental activist and 3d photographer. He built the treehouses as an escape within the city and together, we've made it into a Vacation Home at home! We hoped to create a setting that was both secluded and quiet but also warm and welcoming. Many of our favorite times have happened there--from parties with friends to quiet afternoons reading the paper.
But while we love being at home, we equally love traveling. We find that experiencing new places and meeting new people is as exciting to us as being in our treehouse is calming. Through Airbnb, we want to share our hideaway with other travelers who seek adding something special to their trip and hope that they leave feeling like it was something genuinely special!
