Secluded Intown Treehouse

Treehouse - Private room · Wilson Road Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30318, United States

Suite of 3 connected treehouses set in the secluded intown neighborhood of Buckhead. The living room, bedroom and deck are all beautifully furnished with antiques and natural artifacts. We're nestled amongst towering trees yet minutes from midtown Atlanta. Wine and breakfast included. Truly Unique!

The Space

Centrally located within the heart of intown Atlanta, this is a secluded gem. The subject of numerous TV and magazine features, this may be the most romantic, unique, dreamy and fun place you'll ever stay. Fall asleep in the trees and wake up to the birds singing around you!

Living Room: Antique furnishings including 80 year old butterfly-filled windows, 12-candle chandelier, and a balcony overlooking an acre of lush woods. It is the perfect place to relax.

Bedroom: Sleeps 2. The pillow-top double bed is fitted with sumptuous linens and slides out onto a platform that overlooks the stream below. A small desk, primitive side-tables, an antique birdcage, Kilim rugs, candles and fairy lights make it as comfortable as it is magical.

Deck: Circular seating and a hammock lying beneath a 150 year old Southern Short-Leaf Pine tree.

The treehouses are open to the elements but are protected by rain with tin roofs and mosquitoes by the elevation and breeze.

Guest Access

Guests will have free parking in our driveway (We highly recommend renting a car in Atlanta) and access to a private, indoor bathroom within the main house (about a 20 second walk from the treehouses).

Interaction with Guests

Upon your arrival, we will have a great bottle of wine waiting for you and will provide coffee and a light breakfast each morning.

  • If you are the slightest bit of a free-spirit (or need to be) you'll want to experience Katie and Peter's Intown Treehouse! Peter is a true salt-of-the-earth guy who will give you the guided tour and explain the history of his earthy mansion. You do have to see it to appreciate how unique it is. Nature nestled within quite 'burbs of North Atlanta. Open air and unique textured decor and quiet surroundings is what you will enjoy here. Katie and Peter might even teach you how to play a friend game of jai alai!

  • We used the treehouse for a photoshoot and it was absolutely beautiful. I can't believe this exists in the middle of a Buckhead neighborhood! We were only there for an hour or so, but Katie and Peter were very friendly and helpful - we would highly recommend it to anyone - the couple we were photographing is actually staying there after their wedding!

  • Katie and Peter are GREAT! They are very responsive and extremely helpful. Even after a mistake on my part they were very understanding. I can not say enough good things about them and their wonderful treehouse. If you want to stay somewhere that is romantic, organic, and truly unique with awesome host, this is the only place in Atlanta that meets all three collectively and individually. In a word your stay will be perfect!

  • A wonderful hideaway right in the city! Such a magical setting with thoughtful design. Peter and Katie were great hosts-could not have asked for a better stay.

  • My husband and I spent two nights at Katie and Peter’s tree house, and the experience was, as I wrote down in the sign-in book, a real dream come true (and even better). Both Katie and Peter are delightful – attentive but they leave you to your own space. Peter showed me how to play the blowgun darts and I had a lot of fun. We were wowed by the structure and the interior design of the tree house. Among the trees and under a starry sky, the nights were easily dreamy. The breakfasts were very good too. I admire the owners’ creativity and would definitely recommend the place.

  • My teenage daughter and I came to Atlanta for the night to visit my niece at Oglethorpe. What an amazing place! Katie and Peter responded quickly when we contacted them, provided excellent directions and information, ensured our comfort and provided a lovely breakfast before our departure. Needless to say it was a magical and impressive place to let cousins visit! We hope to be back again soon.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights. It's as beautiful and charming as the pictures and description suggest. Katie and Peter were fantastic hosts. The day we were to check in was a a little bit cold and Peter had the heated mattress pad on and warmed up for us before we arrived. They even have a guest room in the house in case it gets too cold. But with the heated mattress pad we were nice and cozy in the treehouse. The wine Katie chose for us was fantastic. The breakfast was left in the sitting room and ready for us when we woke up. All around a truly wonderful experience!

  • My wife and I stayed at the tree house March 11th. This was a surprise for my wife on our 2nd anniversary. After coming back from Callaway Gardens this was a very relaxing way to spend the night. Peter and Katie were very nice and hospitable. The wine was great and everything seemed perfectly laid out. I highly recommend the tree house if you're a guy and want to spend some quality time with your special someone and earn some big brownie points! If you're worried about the rain, don't be. It was a welcomed surprise. And no you won't get wet.

  • Katie and Peter are amazing hosts, and the treehouses are a unique, unforgettable experience! We loved being quietly tucked away in our own neighborhood, feeling as though we'd been transported out of the city and into a secluded forest. We will definitely return!

  • I can't say enough about how beautiful this place is, or how sweet Katie and Peter are! Just being there made me feel so happy and peaceful! I will definitely be back again!

I work in the wine industry and my husband is an environmental activist and 3d photographer. He built the treehouses as an escape within the city and together, we've made it into a vacation at home. We hoped to create a setting that was both secluded and quiet but also warm and welcoming. Many of our favorite times have happened there--from parties with friends to quiet afternoons reading the paper. But while we love being at home, we equally love traveling. We find that seeing new places and meeting new people is as exciting as being in our treehouses is calming. Through Airbnb, we want to share our hideway with other travelers who seek adding something special to their trip.
