The space

65 inch 4K TV, high speed internet wifi, King bed and private deck with grill. Fully stocked kitchen, remodeled shower (2016) granite countertop. Check out (seasonal) hummingbirds as you enjoy Gore Creek steps away.

Guest access

This is a private rental. You do not have access to the on property gym (hot tub, pool, etc) without paying a non member fee. You have access to everything in the unit except one locked owners closet. Enjoy a well stocked kitchen and help yourself to supplies when creating delicious mountain meals.

Interaction with guests

Take advantage of local knowledge during your visit to Vail! I'm available through Airbnb messaging to answer any and all questions you may have. Do not go to the front desk for questions. Contact me.

There are cleaning supplies in unit, and laundry facility in adjacent building (3 washers, 3 dryers, quarter coin operated).

For your security and mine there is an outdoor camera at this property.

I love it when I can make your vacation easier by offering early check in or late check out. However, sometimes circumstance prevents this. I will clearly communicate the time of your check in and check out, and your door code which you can use for 24/7 access during your stay.

Want to bring a third guest? It's possible but it can be tight, see pictures for a good picture of the full size Aerobed air mattress. It's a great air mattress but it is an air mattress. Bedding is ready for you in unit. An advantage of the Aerobod (more expensive) is that it sets up and breaks down easily and quickly.

Unit equipped with complimentary (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Home, with unlimited music subscription. Play music you love, get weather, traffic and more, all for free!

Taxes: Vail lodging tax of 4% is not collected by Airbnb at booking. I will collect this by Airbnb resolution request shortly after you make your reservation (License seven one seven four).

Professional photography throughout unit all by my Dad: Aspens in living room are from Deluge Lake trail which is one mile from unit. The bathroom picture is from same hike. Kitchen photo is from East Vail neighborhood, hallway photos are from the top of China Bowl in Vail, as is the large photo over bed. The other bedroom photos were all taken in Tiverton, RI.

For maintenance the unit may need to be accessed during your stay, excepting an emergency this will only happen with advance notice.

A note on pets:

Pets are not allowed, this is an HOA rule and I can not be flexible on it, the best I can do is refer you to a local Kennel, sorry. This includes accessibility animals and means this unit is not appropriate for guests that require an accessibility animal due to a disability.

Dining and groceries note:

There is a restaurant called Blu's on site, there is an incredible selection of restaurant's in Vail Village which has free parking after 3PM in the winter and parking is always free in the summer. There is a small but well equipped market called Sim's with a small liquor store a couple of minute drive away from the unit. There are larger grocery stores about a 10 minute drive away.

Condo Guide:

When you have a confirmed reservation you will get a fifteen+ page condo guide which has been correctly described as "very comprehensive" by guests. It includes everything from specific restaurant ideas to the number of forks to expect in the kitchen to instructions for connecting to the bluetooth audio system and much more. It will come by email, usually within 24 hours of booking. It will help you plan for the best possible vacation to Vail, Colorado one of the best places on earth!

Security: There is a security camera covering the outdoor patio area near the entrance to the unit. This is for my security and yours. The patio light detects motion so you can have a well lit arrival anytime of day.

1 minute - Trailhead for Vail Pass and Deluge Lake Trail

3 minutes - Sim's Market and Liquor Store

8 minutes - Vail Village Parking Structure (Gondola One access)

10 minutes - Lionshead Parking Structure (Eagle Bahn Gondola)

12 minutes - West Vail Grocery Stores (City Market and Safeway)

15 minutes - Downtown Minturn (also Meadow Mountain trailhead)

16 minutes - Native Roots, medical and retail Marijuana dispensary

17 minutes - Super Walmart and Home Depot in Avon

20 minutes - Beaver Creek free parking (Bear lot, has 10 minute bus ride to Beaver Creek Village and slopes)

90 minutes - Denver or Aspen

No smoking in unit (take a beautiful walk though!). I'd prefer you did not smoke on patio but use common sense if you must. Don't ash on my downstairs neighbor patio area, don't smoke with the door or window open, etc.

You are a private renter of my unit, this does not entitle you to the full services of Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort. Please do not ask the front desk for concierge style assistance (ask me), and do not expect free access to the spa/gym/pool.

If you have guests that are not on initial reservation you must communicate with me. For example, if you make a booking for 1 guest, but end up having two people at my condo you must tell me.

Generally be a good steward of my home please. I have hosted more than 200 people and had very few issues, I could not be happier with the Airbnb community to date. Let's keep it that way!

No skis or snowboards in the unit. There is a ski locker and a patio for outdoor things.

We drove in from Iowa to get married in Vail. Mark had provided us with great instructions and suggestions for staying at his Air BnB. Had we needed anything I know he would have been communicative but truthfully, everything was thought of in advance. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly and everything was close at hand. Clean, relaxed, cozy, carefree... Our stay was great and we'll always look back on it fondly when we think back to our wedding!

The condo was fantastic for a 4-night fall getaway for two. Mark has thought of everything, from a well-stacked spice cabinet that makes cooking easy, to handy notes around the unit that answer any possible question. It was spotless when we arrived, and everything about staying there was easy. Mark sent thorough info ahead of time and was available if we needed him. The location is a great home base for hiking and biking. There's good reason there are so many 5-star reviews!

Nice clean apartment, convenient to everything in the area. The creek side setting was relaxing after a long day hiking and sightseeing. I would definitely revisit. Mark guided us through this experience with his constant communication and knowledge of the area.
