Branciforte drive is just slightly outside of downtown Santa Cruz. Once you figure out the streets, you will realize you are actually only 5-10 minutes from downtown and the beaches, but in a quieter and more peaceful setting. The house location is at the very beginning of Branciforte Drive, about 2 miles before the Mystery Spot, and directly across the street from a very popular trailhead at DeLaVeaga Park. It is also a popular bike ride with local road bikers, so bring a bike if you like to ride.
Other Things to Note
Sometimes Branciforte Drive can seem very busy with cars, as the Mystery Spot is a popular destination, but a very safe and easy turn around is just a few seconds past the house at the "Mystery Spot 2 Miles" sign.
Please, smoking outside only! And please scoop your pets poop!
Had a great time. Location is very convenient to Santa Cruz restaurants and attractions. Quiet sanctuary away from the beach crowds.
The house was very nice, me and my wife loved our stay there! Very nice views and perfect for a quiet getaway but is also close to everything in santa cruz such as the boardwalk and downtown
This was a lovely home and very convenient to the downtown area of Santa Cruz. It was also easy to get on the highway with access to other beach areas and towns. Even though the street is sort of busy the house is shielded from the road and when you're sitting on the patio or deck you don't notice the traffic. Also the rooster next door was a rather nice touch. Hallie herself was prompt in responding to questions and very helpful with suggestions.
This is a really cute place in Santa Cruz that is off the beaten path. It's perfectly situated across the street from some great hiking and close to everything else. Hallie made sure we were all set when we checked in and was communicative throughout our stay.
The apartment was largely as described and the location was perfect being close to the town but out in the woods, quiet and secluded. We particularly enjoyed the balcony and the barbecue which we used several times. The area is better than I expected and Santa Cruz is a great place to holiday with good access to lots of beaches and a good town centre with nice bars and restaurants. The accommodation is good but the bed in the ‘LOFT SLEEPING ONLY’ was a bit of a shock as the headroom is not sufficient for adults to sit up in. This did not stop us enjoying the visit and Hallie was very helpful and understanding during our trip. We enjoyed our time in Santa Cruz and recommend it to anyone looking to be close to San Francisco but enjoy the beach and Californian lifestyle. Thanks for your hospitality best wishes.
The place is lovely, with a fantastic deck & patio for BBQ. Hallie was great, we called her with a question about the gas stove and she picked up immediately, and walked us through it. We were super-happy with the experience and would stay there again.
Good stay overall , house was clean and matched description .. Good spot if you want a retreat from the city and willing to hike/bike/ go to the beach . House if fine for 6 but not more .. Hallie is very responsive and helpful . We had a little inconvenience that she is really trying her best to correct . I would recommend

About the Host, Hallie
I have lived in Pleasure Point for over twenty years and I love it!! I am very active, and love being a block from the ocean, as well as within biking distance to some epic trail rides in the Santa cruz mountains. I have travelled all over the world, and I always love coming home to my sweet little neighborhood by the beach:)
