"Dos Marias" adjoins our 106 year old home located in the Nogales historical district within walking distance to the Mexican border and downtown Nogales AZ.

The space

"Dos Marias" opened as the 1st Bed & Breakfast in Nogales in 2000. This space has 1 bedroom, a spacious living room and a private bathroom. The gated entrance is a shared patio with our "Studio Apartment"

All of our rooms are exceptionally bright and airy for short or long term stays with a private entrance in a retired professor's home.

Inclusions: Wifi - all Utilities - Printer -

Guest access

"Dos Marias" is located on street level with private entrances. Owners live below in our home. Guests have access to street parking, the front yard, and the patio space near entry to space.

Interaction with guests

We have as much and as little interaction, as guests wish. As stated, our home is owner occupied but give guests plenty of space to relax and chill.

Other things to note

We are located in the downtown historical neighborhood of Crawford Street with easy walking distance to the Mexico border crossing and as featured in the March 2005 issues of Arizona Highways.

We are Owner occupied and as former international Hoteliers understand the options in lodging within in our greater Community. However, we are at the nexus of both the United States, Arizona, and Mexico in a safe, colorful, and culturally rich neighborhood. An excellent place to set up a base to explore the surroundings....

Mary has a lovely simple space that has a lovely view of the city of Nogales, Mexico. It is right near the border, so access to Mexico is easy. Mary was a very helpful host who offered plenty of information on how to navigate both sides of the border. The space was private and easy to access. Parking is readily available.

Such a great place to stay near the Nogales border! The house is lovely, historic, comfortable and so convenient to the border. At night- the city lights of Nogales Sonora shine bright and make a nice view. Mary was such a gracious host- we can't wait to stay again.

We love Mary's place. We used to stay here years back and she had moved it to just apartment living - so we are glad she is back up and running as nightly rentals! It is so close to the border to walk over and shop, eat and enjoy the day in Nogales. It is nice to have the quiet surroundings while sitting in the room with the windows open and breeze coming through. Thanks Mary!!

Mary is a fantastic host -- super helpful, with great advice on things to do in the area. And the location is great, just a short walk from the Mexican border. Highly recommended!

My mom and I bought this home in 1998 to be our 'our Year in Provence' project & home. Though I used to live in Bali with my husband, we all enjoy tending to the garden and our historic home. Our neighborhood is just that a 'neighborhood' & is safe enough to walk our dogs in the early evening light. Yes, we overlook Mexico from this apartment's windows and it is all quiet down there. Please bring your passport so you can walk over & support the local economy.
