I love our neighborhood for so many reasons starting with our proximity to Mexico and the multicultural community. We also offer many historical examples of architecture within our downtown neighborhood.
The Mexican border crossing is just a short walk down the hill. We can advise on various dining and shopping adventures since we go there often. (yes, it's safe) . Always bring your passport. It IS another country.
There are wonderful local, family owned, Mexican restaurants on the Arizona side... We'll be pleased to advise on the best of the best OR see our comments and ratings on TripAdvisor.
Outside the City, we have two lakes with multiple walking trails for bird watching opportunities.
We are within a 30 minutes drive to the tourist enclaves of Patagonia and Tubak.
Public transport is very local taxi services or,. We can arrange drivers if need be.
Due to the very hilly terrain, biking is for the strong and healthy. Riding the high desert is a pleasure for experienced riders.
Other Things to Note
We are located in the downtown historical neighborhood of Crawford Street with easy walking distance to the Mexico border crossing and as featured in the March 2005 issues of Arizona Highways.
We are Owner occupied and as former international Hoteliers understand the options in lodging within in our greater Community. However, we are at the nexus of both the United States, Arizona, and Mexico in a safe, colorful, and culturally rich neighborhood. An excellent place to set up a base to explore the surroundings....

Wendell and Lady are friendly dogs ~ mind the gate so they don't run loose.
My mom and I bought this home in 1998 to be our 'our Year in Provence' project & home. Though I used to live in Bali with my husband, we all enjoy tending to the garden and our historic home. Our neighborhood is just that a 'neighborhood' & is safe enough to walk our dogs in the early evening light. Yes, we overlook Mexico from this apartment's windows and it is all quiet down there. Please bring your passport so you can walk over & support the local economy.
