This humble private estate is nestled in the Bridle Trails neighborhood of Bellevue. It's officially listed as a wildlife sanctuary and we have two horses, Honey and Dreamer. Just 3 minutes off the 520 and 405 freeways, you'll be able to get to/from most places in the Seattle area in under 20 minutes.
Enter through the front gate (you'll be issued your own gate code) and wind up the long private drive to your country retreat in the middle of the city.
This is a very special property which sits on 2.5 acres, surrounded by majestic 100-foot pines. You can almost feel time slow down as you settle into the tranquility of the forest. The wonderful paradox is that you feel a million miles away from everything, right in the heart of a normal neighborhood.
In the evenings, you can roast marshmallows at the firepit and listen to the tranquil sound of water cascading over the rocks of the nearby stream. Or, take in the lingering sunset from the deck. Are you a reader? Curl up with a blanket and your latest book on the couch in the library. And – don't forget – there's always the hot tub which is the perfect way to unwind at the end of any day.
For the morning, and schedule permitting, I will grind and brew you some locally roasted coffee. We can accommodate most requests, and aim to please.
This is a place that must be experienced. It's not too fancy or pretentious, but once you've visited, well... you'll understand. It's simply magical.
You'll have access to the following areas of the house:
• Your private bedroom w/ super comfy queen bed
• Your private full bathroom with freshly cut flowers
• 1 shared 1/2 bathroom downstairs
• Kitchen (please be tidy)
• Great room with fireplace and baby grand piano, with access to outdoor deck with lounge furniture
• Dining room
• Private, covered outdoor hot tub
Interaction with Guests
We love meeting interesting new people and enjoy talking about traveling, natural health, music, lean startups, Jesus, etc., but we're content to interact with you as much or little as you like.
Our family includes three boys, ages 5, 6 and 8. They may be around the common areas, like the kitchen, great room and TV room during the day, but they go to bed around 8pm.
The Bridle Trails neighborhood is a equine-centric community with horse trails throughout. These trails lead to the 482-acre Bridle Trails state park, a breathtaking horse park that looks like a scene right out of Twilight (or for you Star Wars geeks, something like the Ewok forest in Return of the Jedi). Anyway, don't miss hiking there, especially in summer.
To get around you'll want your own car. Although the Seattle area has wonderful public transportation, the closest bus stop is nearly 1 mile away.

We loved the room and the family feel was fun!
Beautiful clean room. Thank you for the fruit breakfast. Excellent value. Petting the horses was wonderful and so near everything. Great neighborhood.
An amazing second stay- totally accommodating of our particular needs and strange schedule and just so warm and wonderful. The send off is just as lovely as the welcome. Bathrobes in the guest room are such a sweet touch.
We had a wonderful time. Thank you for being so accommodating. It was a much needed quiet retreat from Soccer. The trails were great to have so near, an enjoy, during the heat of the day. Your young men are wonderful hosts. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. We slept soundly and even snuck in a nap between games. Hope to return.
Danna and Christopher were great hosts! Accommodations were clean and very comfortable. I'd happily would stay there again. It was very close to Marymore Park where we went to a concert.
Nice host and beautiful houselovely horse，it's a amazing experience of vocation in Seattle．I would have spend left days in there rather than driving to San Diego．every thing is perfect and came in true!Thank you for (email hidden)ve star to recommend and you won't be regret for choice
What a great place to stay. Danna and
Christopher and their family made us feel welcomed and part of the family before we even walked through the door. The house and property is a resort all its' own. Breakfast was 5 stars every morning. Conversation and hospitality were comfortable and engaging without being intrusive. Loved our time. Will return again no doubt on our next visit West.
