This was the perfect spot for our holiday weekend. It is ideally located next to Kings Beach and a short drive to the towns on either side. Christine was easy to work with and we had no problems with our place. It isn't a resort by any means, but I think the price and her description fairly reflect that and overall is a great deal. I would recommend this place.
This condo is located in a nice quiet complex close to the lake. With basic furnishings, a BBQ on the balcony and a pool, it was a good weekend spot for our family.
Overall, Christine's place was very comfortable and clean. Kingswood Village is a great location, with easy access to Northstar and the lake. Furnishings and fixtures are more outdated, but the price is very reasonable. One word of caution - the condo does not have Wifi.
The place is quite cozy, especially for those who like a bit rustic style. Indoor fireplace can feel really comfy here. The place was pretty clean. The only small inconvenience as somebody else mentioned is one bathroom being downstairs, especially if you live in the third floor. I would say good bet for small family.
this unit is in an ideal location for a northstar ski/snowboard weekend- right off 267 just before kings beach town and the Nevada state line. the host is very responsive and I had no issues. the unit has all the amenities as described. its ideal for a small family or a few friends, definitely not for a large group. wish we could have made use of the balcony decks and explored the condo grounds.
Our experience at the Cozy North Lake Cabin was a good experience. The host was very attentive and gave accurate directions to the cabin. The pictures, description, and reviews all portray the cabin. It is not fancy but has everything you need to have a great time. It is a little difficult only having one bathroom in the house, and the shower is loud in the master bedroom. Overall a great experience!
Our holiday overnight stay (Dec 30, 2014) at this house was a disappointment. After a long day from travelling and skiing, upon check-in at 530pm, the house was a total mess from the previous occupants. All the towels and sheets were on the floor, plates, utensils all over the kitchen, beds unmade, and house was a total mess. I called Christine who was more bothered and annoyed with my phone call. She apologized for her cleaner's oversight but failed to make it up to us by either paying for our dinner or offering a discounted rate for the inconvenience. She refused to offer any kind of adjustment or compensation. She failed to acknowledge our frustration and instead of showing some compassion, she heartlessly told us to find some other accommodations. This was a day before New Year's Eve. I called AirBNB who was extremely apologetic, understanding, and compassionate. They paid for our dinner and offered us a rent reduction. I will definitely use AirBNB, but will never rent from this woman.
This was a very unfortunate situation. The guest contacted me at 5:30 on the evening of 12/30, that upon check-in the condo had not been cleaned. As a remote host,(that was out running errands) I called my housekeeper at 5:34 and left a message on her voice mail. She called me back at 5:44 and stated that she and her crew were working in the complex and could be at the condo to clean within 20 minutes. It had been a very busy day. I contacted the guest at 5:45 to let him know that the housekeeper and her crew would be there soon. The situation was handled quickly.
About the Host, Christine
I am Christine. My family has built wonderful family memories at Kingswood Village. We are very grateful to own a home in beautiful Lake Tahoe. Kingswood Village has much to offer; close to the Lake, Northstar, 24-hour Safeway/Starbucks and is surrounded by beautiful nature. I work in the education field with special needs families and am a very inclusive person. Community, connections and collaboration are very important to me.
