  • We arrived late at the cabin, and found it to be very neat and tidy. All the required cutlery, glasses, utensils were there, and there were enough comfortable chairs and sofas for us to hang out and talk. We didn't try out the tvs, vcr, or the board games, but it was good to have them around.
Overall, it was a great experience for us.

    Cons:
    - There was slightly musty/smokey smell in the cabin, but that's ok with anywhere that has a lot of carpeting and cloth material around the house, and a fireplace.
    - Lighting in the night was a little low.

  • This place is exactly as described by Chris, 3 levels with a downstairs entry, full bathroom and nice big bedroom with its own deck, up the stairs to a full mid-level living room, kitchen and dinette, then one last set of stairs to a half loft with two twin beds and a love seat with a twin pull out bed in it. The couch in the living room has a pull out bed as well. The decor is classic Tahoe 80's,condo... not modern, not retro, not shabby-chic, just good 'ol Tahoe rustic come in, get warm, make some food, talk about how great the day was, and get some sleep in comfy beds before doing it again tomorrow. Clean, bigger than in the pictures, easy to get to from Northstar or any of the northshore resorts.

  • The Cozy Getaway was fantastic! Perfect for our ski weekend.
    Thanks, Christine!

  • Great location and accommodations. Easy to get to the resorts and fantastic free night shuttle to/from bars and restaurants.
The worst I could say, maybe the furnishings and finishes are a bit dated and worn, and another bathroom at upper level would be nice. Yet, all that goes to the wayside when considering the value, the level of service and the attention the owner provides - and the location.
    Looking forward to staying again.

  • The apartment is spacious and suited to a small family/group on a budget. Agree with other reviews the decor and furnishings are dated and a little tired, and thats reflected in the pricing. The apartment was very clean, warm and functional. Great location close to Kings beach and Northstar/Truckee. Nice green outlook in the complex.
Our only major problem was access. We were unable to get into the lock box to access the key, Christine was unavailable to help, her call list provided enabled us to get a key fairly quickly from someone else. We were not provided the sequence of how the lock operated, even still we could not open! Also take a torch if arriving at night - there is no lighting.

  • Great place, great value, great location. My family and I went up for a long weekend and Christine's place was ideal for us. We loved making a fire every night in the fireplace, cooking meals most nights in the well stocked kitchen, and being centrally located to go anywhere around Tahoe (i.e.: Northstar, Truckee, Kings Beach...). While there wasn't much snow to speak of this season we still had a blast and spent a few afternoons sledding in Tahoe City and at Squaw Valley. Christine was very easy to work with, extremely details and communicative. We highly recommend.

  • We loved Christine's cottage - it was absolutely lovely, located in a quite place surrounded by gorgeous trees, only a few miles from Northstar and one mile from an amazing Safeway that will satisfy your dietary needs, be it simple or gourmet. Christine was very responsive and helpful and the place was well equipped. Wonderful experience!

  • I will say the pics that were posted did not do this place justice...I was a little hesitant to book as the pics appeared a bit drab but being that it was Labor Day weekend and last minute we went for it. We were so pleasantly surprised. The condo itself, although a bit dated with its furnishings and overall apperance was clean and very comfortable. The location was great, we had never been to North Shore or Kings Beach, we were South Shore people before but I tell you this place changed our minds. We loved the quick 5 min drive to Kings beach. Having the Safeway so close was great. We even ventured over to the Nevada side for a little gambling which was only about 10 mins away. The only down side of the condo was the one bathroom on the 1st floor. It was awkward when you were in the 3rd floor loft to have to walk down 2 flights of stairs in the am to the bathroom, so if you have small children or don't do stairs well this is probably not the place for you. We loved the deck and BBQ and we even were able to see the Fireworks over the lake from the condo. The complex was very nice, the pool was great and we had a nice walk the first morning through the neighborhood. All the neighbors seem to be long time owners and were all very quiet and friendly. We would definately come back. Christine was easy to work with and responded to all my questions.

About
Hi, I am Christine. My family has built wonderful family memories at Kingswood Village. We are very grateful to own a home in beautiful Lake Tahoe. Kingswood Village has much to offer; close to the Lake, Northstar, 24-hour Safeway/Starbucks and is surrounded by beautiful nature. I work in the education field with special needs families and am a very inclusive person. Community, connections and collaboration are very important to me.
