Interaction with Guests
Best of both Swiss and Peruvian cultures combined in an amazing guesthouse. The guests will have the opportunity to embrace the 25 years experience traveling in Peru of the hosts.
The house looks down on the city offering to the guest an amazing view. The way to the main square is safe and short. Although situated in the centre of the city close to all the cultural and touristic interests the neighborhood is quiet.
It's so close to the city centre that walking is the best way during you stay. For people whose legs are tired after doing the Machu Picchu trek, taxi's are always available costing around 1.50 $US
Feel like home
1. host is super helpful and friendly (來祕魯絕對不要錯過Maison的host)
1. 晚上街道如果太吵會受到影響，不過一開始房東有兩間讓我們選，有另一間比較安靜的和我們住的這間，有事先告知所以覺得很受尊重 :)
Friendly and attentive host. Nice spacious and clean room, tasty breakfast. The only downsides were that it was a little hard to find when I arrived because the house number is small, and the heating didn't work one night. The host did everything she could to make my stay enjoyable, however. Thank you Marion!
Volvería a ir allí.
Nice and clean.neighborhood seemed safe, however the landlady told us its not during the night (never found out why).still would recommend for a stay
We enjoyed our stay here! Itala helped arrange for an airport transfer, and Luisa was friendly and helpful during our stay. We had a beautiful room, and had great breakfasts every morning. Yes, it is a bit of a trek up from the main square, but it only takes around 10 minutes, and we would often stop for a break at the minimart nearby to chat to the friendly lady. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at Maison Fortaleza. Our room was huge and super clean, the shower had hot water (not always a given in Sth America!) and the breakfast was great. The location of the bnb is up a steep hill which can be challenging at first (especially if you're still acclimatising to the altitude) but it does seem to get easier!
We did not meet Itala but Luisa gave us a warm welcome and was so lovely during our stay. She even invited us and the other bnb guests to a New Year's Eve dinner party which was awesome! We would really recommend staying here.
We very much enjoyed staying at Maison Fortaleza! Felt very welcomed and accommodated at all times. The hosts were very helpful in arranging tours, etc. for us to see some of the ruins outside of Cusco and was great about arranging transportation to and from the airport, etc. Everything was fantastic! The host was easy to communicate with via email. The only slightly frustrating part of our stay was that we had frequent issues with hot water but it seemed like they gotten in figured out near the end of our stay! The Wifi also barely worked. I would definitely recommend this place. Was a comfortable and mostly quiet sleep :)

About the Host, Jean & Itala
My name is Itala, I'm a peruvian, originally from Cusco and I've been working as a tour guide for 25 years. With my swiss husband Jean we make a multicultural couple and we have 2 children.
We love to welcome our friends in our house so our Airbnb guests will be treated like friends and we also like them to feel at home. We can also advise them about what to do in the Cusco region (arts, archeology, restaurants, music, local market). We speak spanish, french and english...
