The house looks down on the city offering to the guest an amazing view. The way to the main square is safe and short. Although situated in the centre of the city close to all the cultural and touristic interests the neighborhood is quiet.
It's so close to the city centre that walking is the best way during you stay. For people whose legs are tired after doing the Machu Picchu trek, taxi's are always available costing around 1.50 $US
Feel like home
We had an absolutely lovely stay. The building itself is very beautiful and the room, delightful. Very cute vintage art posters on the walls, clean fresh towels, shampoo, hot water 24/7 and central heating for cold Cusco nights. The organic breakfast is delicious, especially the granola. Thank you very much we loved our stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Maison Fortaleza, and the pictures on this site are very consistent with what the actual place looks like! Jean, Itala, and Marion were very welcoming and helped us with anything we needed, from where to do laundry to arranging a ride to the airport. Breakfast was delicious and always ready when we awoke. The shower in our room was amazing, great temp and water pressure, which is a luxury in Peru! The only negative thing we can think of is the Internet typically worked well on the main patio, but was spotty in the room. Not a huge deal [especially because we did not go to Peru to be online all day :) ]. We would definitely stay there again!
We had a wonderful stay at Maison Fortaleza. The room was beautiful, the bathroom updated. The location is a little removed from the main square but we found it to be perfect. It's very close to the Sacsayhuaman site. Marion made sure we had a very tasty breakfast each morning before we headed out for the day. We were also able to store our luggage while on a 4 day trek. Thanks again for making our stay so comfortable!
1. host is super helpful and friendly (來祕魯絕對不要錯過Maison的host)
1. 晚上街道如果太吵會受到影響，不過一開始房東有兩間讓我們選，有另一間比較安靜的和我們住的這間，有事先告知所以覺得很受尊重 :)
Friendly and attentive host. Nice spacious and clean room, tasty breakfast. The only downsides were that it was a little hard to find when I arrived because the house number is small, and the heating didn't work one night. The host did everything she could to make my stay enjoyable, however. Thank you Marion!
Volvería a ir allí.
Nice and clean.neighborhood seemed safe, however the landlady told us its not during the night (never found out why).still would recommend for a stay

About the Host, Jean & Itala
My name is Itala, I'm a peruvian, originally from Cusco and I've been working as a tour guide for 25 years. With my swiss husband Jean we make a multicultural couple and we have 2 children.
We love to welcome our friends in our house so our Airbnb guests will be treated like friends and we also like them to feel at home. We can also advise them about what to do in the Cusco region (arts, archeology, restaurants, music, local market). We speak spanish, french and english...
