Sorry, no pets.
No loud music.
We had a great stay at Mark's apartment. Everything was exectly like described here at airbnb. Like others already mentioned the apartment is close to subway stations where you can get to manhattan in a few minutes.
We never met Mark personally but we easily could have contacted him if we needed anything.
We definitely recommend the apartment for anyone who is planning to travel to NY.
We had a wonderful one week stay in Mark's apartment in Boerum Hill. It is within 2 blocks of 3 different subways. Convenient for the A train to JFK airport. Not far from Trader Joe's for groceries. Mark's family was very helpful and welcoming. We felt very safe in the apartment.
We came to New York for a short break and Mark's place was perfect. Really great location, nice neighborhood with some lovely nearby cafés and restaurants and conveniently located to get into Manhatten. The apartment had everything we needed and Mark was very accommodating! Thanks so much!
We had a wonderful stay at Mark's very clean apartment! The location is fantastic (close to all sorts of restaurants and conveniently close to many trains), the apartment is very comfortable and Mark is very easy to communicate with. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
Nice, clean and spacious apartment in a nice neighborhood which is a bit more relaxed than Manhattan. As other guests noted, you will hear sonetimes noise from Mark and his family, so be prepared for that if you have a problem with that (which we didn't). However, there is almost no street noise. The apartment is close to several subway stations, so you are in Manhattan in 15 minutes from the front door.
Mark is a good owner, friendly and helpful.
Stayed at Mark's place in Boerum Hill for one month and it was really great. Such a good location, close to many subway connections and lots of things to see, eat and drink in this trendy part of Brooklyn. We were here for work and leisure. Work-wise we had lots of space to operate within. We were also warm enough, which is good considering we were there during Storm Juno and lots of snow.
We never met Mark but they lived above and we could have contacted them easily should we have needed something. You can hear the family upstairs but nothing out of the norm.
There is no washing machine but their housemaid can clean a load for you, for a small fee. She collected ours during the weekly clean.
This is a place in a good area, lots of space and comfort. We'd love to visit again!
Another delightful experience. The apartment is wonderful, the location is perfect (beautiful, walkable neighborhood, around the corner from the Nevins Street subway station for quick and easy access to Manhattan, and also a short stroll to Dumbo where you can view the beautiful New York skyline and grab a ferry across the river), and Mark and Laura are terrific hosts who could not be more gracious and accommodating.
Booking was a breeze, and responses to all of our queries were prompt and helpful.
We cannot wait to return!
I'm married with two amazing kids and a wonderful wife. We've lived in Brooklyn for over 19 years and in New York City for nearly 30 years. I work in television as a Creative Director for SundanceTV. My wife works in film as a Casting Director. My daughter is away most of the year now in college and my son is in 10th grade.
We love to cook and to spend time with family and friends. We LOVE Brooklyn and everything our Boerum Hill neighborhood has to offer. When were not in Brooklyn we're either at a beach or making plans to get to one!
