I had a wonderful time staying at the Kensington Market suite. It was a very warm, cozy place. I felt right a home. Great location if you are staying in the downtown area. I walked most places but you do have transit options everywhere. I'd recommend Wanda's Pie in the Sky for a local must-eat.
This apartment and location were both amazing. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed and linens were extremely comfortable, the bathroom had a full tub that was nice and deep and had provided toiletries, the front porch was very cute, and the place was a lot bigger than we were anticipating from the pictures. Honestly though, we barely spent any time in the apartment itself because of how great the location was -- right in the heart of adorable Kensington Market -- which means there's plenty to see and do right outside the door, but also convenient public transportation (and cheap Ubers) at your disposal. Never had any issues with noise and we were allowed to drop our bags off early before check-in time which was greatly appreciated, also the keyless entry system was very convenient. Mielle had left out snacks and coffee/tea, as well as literature on places to visit in Toronto. A great stay, would definitely return to this same AirBnB and absolutely recommend to others.
Lovely experience! The apartment is in a fantastic location and looks like it's picture.
Great little flat in the heart of a vibrant Kensington. It's a great place to not only relax, but get out and experience the culture and diversity that Toronto has to offer.
One of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had. The apartment was perfect and the location ideal. I've never been so pleasantly surprised to discover a neighborhood. Thanks!
This was an amazing home to stay! I love Kensington Market- it's got everything a traveler could need! The apartment was clean, spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. There were even extra touches of tea and snacks- it was a wonderful stay!!
We (2 adults, 2 kids (one 5 yrs, the other 10 months old)) stayed at Mielle's accommodations directly in Kensignton Market. Ours was the ground floor unit. The place is very tidy and clean. All the applicances functioned without problems and we had hot and cold running water in the kitchen and bathroom. The Kensigton Market neighbourhood is very lively and there are plenty of things for guests to see, eat and shop!
However, please note that the walls are rather thin. Another family staying in the unit upstairs also had two small kids and we could hear them through the ceiling. Not a problem for us, but if you're a light sleeper, keep this in mind!
The house is very much suited for either 1-2 people. 3 people are okay (since there is a futon couch in the living room). 4 or more is a bit cramped. For families or longer-staying guests, I do recommend shopping at the big 24hr Metro grocery store at Robert and Bloor St. It's about a 25 min walk from the house.
Thank you Mielle and your team for making our stay a pleasant one (and also for the microwave - it definitely came in handy!)

About the Host, Mielle
I am a gypsy scholar currently in the rainforest in Costa Rica studying biodiversity and eco-tourism. When in Toronto I teach at York University. My passions include yoga, rock-climbing, hoola hooping to groovy music, blues, and exploring tropical paradises. I strive to live an ecologically and socially conscious life, to do no harm, and, as hokey as it may sound, to make the world a better and more just place. The apartments at Kensington Suites reflect the eco-conscious and eclectic nature of the funkiest neighbourhood in the city. Welcome.
