Mielle is a great host. I didn't meet her but she responded to all enquiries promptly and with a friendly, helpful attitude. As soon as I entered the apartment I knew it would be a better than average Airbnb experience. Homemade granola, fruit, tea and coffee with a well stocked and funky kitchen. The location could not have been better for a short stay in Toronto (Kensington Market is vibrant and fun and filled with interesting places and people). The bed is big and comfy and my brother had no complaints about the fold out in the living room.
As Mielle says in her description this place is not quiet. I used earplugs at night as I am a light sleeper. The sound barriers between apartments are nonexistent but the family upstairs kept reasonable hours and I hope they found us equally conscientious in our noise levels. This was nothing that would put me off renting again and I hope to be able to do so soon.
All in all a great apartment which I would heartily recommend to anyone.
Mielle's place was so warm and welcoming amidst the Canadian winter. Not only was there a bowl of fresh fruit and a bag of tortilla chips to greet us, but the kitchen was well-stocked with oil, herbs, and all the little things that make cooking a joy when you're staying for a week and not wanting to invest in a whole bag, box or bottle of something. Her fun and funky home is in a great location of downtown Toronto, yet quiet too as it's off the busy main street. There are many multi-ethnic restaurants within walking distance and great deals all around if you're a shopper. The towels were thick and there were also thoughtful details like well-labeled bottles and bins in both the kitchen and bathroom. It was a joy to spend my week there! Thank you, Mielle!
Mielle was a very responsive and accommodating host and her apartment was an excellent place to stay -- very enjoyable neighborhood, cl ose to downtown and pubic transportation. I'll look this place up first next time I travel to Toronto.
Mielle provided an excellent home at a great price. All the facilities were there as described.
Everything was as described. The apartment was an excellent place to stay while I conducted my business in Toronto. The internet worked great. The kitchen was well equipped and functional. The bedroom was comfortable. The location was very convenient.
My wife, my son, and. I stayed here over the weekend and we all very happy to have this apartment tot return home to after long days in the Toronto slush. Warm, cozy, and bright, this gem of a place is the standard by which I'll judge future Air BNB stays. I really appreciated the hands-off approach the hosts took. I never had any need to contact them, but always knew they were accessible if something came up. I highly and unreservedly recommend staying here.

I am a gypsy scholar currently in the rainforest in Costa Rica studying biodiversity and eco-tourism. When in Toronto I teach at York University. My passions include yoga, rock-climbing, hoola hooping to groovy music, blues, and exploring tropical paradises. I strive to live an ecologically and socially conscious life, to do no harm, and, as hokey as it may sound, to make the world a better and more just place. The apartments at Kensington Suites reflect the eco-conscious and eclectic nature of the funkiest neighbourhood in the city. Welcome.
