  • I stayed with Xi while I was in Rome studying. It was a very last minute booking and I'm very happy I found her. She is amazing and so s her place!

  • I had amazing time in Rome, and Xi was a large part of that. I cycled from the Netherlands to Rome, and stayed with Xi for 6 days. The room nice, the amenities were perfect, she let me use her wash machine, which was a huge help. The location was brilliant, just a short walk to the Trastevere area while still being in a quite neighborhood. Xi was so helpful with finding fun things to do in the city, helping me with finding bike shops to box up my bike, and the last night I was there she took me on a nice walk and showed me a few of her favorite places in the city. It was a wonderful experience

  • This is a good location in Rome, though when I arrived I was put in a different room different than the one in this photo. This different new room has a very small bed compared to what's in the photo. It was 11:45pm at night and I was very jetlagged, so I wasn't capable really of resisting this. The host said I could only move into the room I originally booked after it would become available. I think this move on a guest arriving so late is very shady. As a guest, I am vulnerable as I am staying in someone else's house with no lock on my room door. I'm definitely not going to make a fuss while I am there and risk retaliation as I don't know these people at all!

After I left, I contacted the host directly about this issue. I would have dropped this issue completely had the host given me any kind of refund, but to my utter shock, the host refused to give any! She blamed me for bringing the issue up at all, and told me I should have been ok with the room switch and there were no problems. This is what really what surprised me. I've never had this kind of issue happen before with Airbnb and I have stayed at almost 10 locations so perhaps it's a one-off.

I really don't know if this host perhaps swaps rooms from guests all the time, as I only stayed here once, so maybe this is a one off. I'd say to the Airbnb community, be careful about this. Besides this, the stay was ok and I didn't have any other problems!

  • Really nice, relaxed atmosphere here. Stayed here twelve days and always felt very welcomed. Good location too! With the tram and train station nearby, and a lot of nice restaurants, cafes and pubs around, it was a great base to have. Host spoke perfect English, but we did most of our talking in Swedish/Norwegian. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

  • Loved this place! The location is perfect only a short walk from the bars of Trastevere and you can even walk it to the Colosseum or the Vatican in under an hour. Room is very spacious and the bed comfy. Xi was a great host and everyone else in the flat was also really nice, including the pets

  • Xi was a positively wonderful host and the room was perfect for my needs! The location was excellent, with a coffee shop just around the corner, groceries a couple of blocks away, and plenty of great restaurants and pubs easily within walking distance. The wifi was fast and always worked. The room was spacious, clean, and just as advertised, and having access to a washing machine and a kitchen (with the occasional Italian cooking lesson no less) made for a very comfortable and hassle-free stay. Half the price of a hotel and twice the amenities; I would definitely recommend. Many thanks, Xi!

  • The perfect place to stay! I was working in Rome for 6 weeks in the summer and stayed here. The location is very convenient, right next to bus H (to Termini) and tram 8 (to Argentina and Piazza Venezia) which will bring you everywhere you need to be. It's a 15 minute walk from the center of Trastevere and about 20 minutes to Centro Storico with the Pantheon and great nightlife in Campo di Fiori. The area is quiet and I never felt unsafe. The facilities are good (kitchen, washing machine) and though there's no air conditioning the marble/cement apartment is very comfortable even in the summer. If you need a clean, quiet, and convenient place to stay, I highly recommend this apartment.
