Good news! In October 2014 I had the carpet deep cleaned so the apartment is now impeccably clean and the pet odor is gone!
More good news! In February 2015 I added a queen size bed. It is a brand new Simmons Beautyrest and is nice and firm. The futon is still here for guests.
There is a shared laundry room in the basement. The front porch is a relaxing sun filled area great for breakfast.
Interaction with Guests
Keys in lockbox out front (I'll provide the code). Apartment is cleaned after every rental. I'll give you your freedom, just give me a call if you have a problem (which you won't).
Location, location, location! You'll be in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located in the center of the city. Nearby Alamo Square, Golden Gate, and the Panhandle are all dog friendly and runner friendly.
The nearby booming Divisidero corridor hosts a plethora of of cafes, bars, restaurants including the brand new Buy Rite. The possibilities are endless!
There is free street parking easily available on my street. The only thing is that during the day, from 8 am to 6 pm, there is only 2 hour parking. So during the day you will have to move the car every 2 hours. Weekends are free parking all the time. It is the same throughout the city unless you happen to get lucky and rent an apartment with a parking space included.
The 21 bus line is not even a block away which will take you downtown to union square, fisherman's wharf, or ride it the other way out to the beach or world famous Haight street. If you have a car, there is ample street parking. Other buses include the 5, 21, 23, and my favorite the Geary Express 38. Walk to hear jazz in Fillmore, eat in Japantown, take in the symphony at Civic Center.
Other Things to Note
Please note that as pets are allowed this is not a good rental choice for those with pet allergies.
Pets allowed, no smoking, lock doors when leaving, no excessive noise, no parties. Treat the place like your own.
Matt has a great place! With in a 30 min walk from a lot of sites! He was very friendly and answered any questioned we had!
Matt made us feel very welcome - everything in the apartment was clean and the area felt very safe. We drove in and there was plenty of parking, but it was only 2 hour parking (as Matt told us) so we parked closer to Union Square. A little bit out of downtown but definitely a great place to stay, especially on a budget!
- Nice apartment in a great location (walking distance to Haight-Ashbury) and lots of buses to reach downtown.
- Two beds for up to 2 couples
Our stay in this apartment has been wonderful. It's a very nice flat: the bed is very comfortable, the kitchen has everything we may need, the futon is great for a rest at the end of the day, the bathroom is also perfect. There is full of light during the day and the interiors shutters provide total darkness if we want for the night.
The location is very nice as many interesting places are walking distance and plenty of buses are very close.
The stay here was wonderful. It was located in a fine neighborhood and it was close proximity to great restaurants and cool spots.
Great Location, comfortable and clean apt.
Near easy bus line for transportation.
I really enjoyed Matt's place. It's as shown in the picture with also a well-furnished kitchen. What I apprecieted most is the position, in a very nice area near Height, Castro, Mission and Golden Gate Park. I had no problem with the car as the park is free from 6 pm to 8 am, during the day is allowed for free for two hours so basically between 10 am and 4 pm you are likely to use the car or you can leave it in a cheap public parking just two blocks far. Matt was easily reachable by email. So it had been a great way to visit SF!
