Studio in classic house with separate entrance. Windows let in cheery sunshine and beautiful views. Located in up and coming NoPA, blocks from Golden Gate Park, The Panhandle, and Alamo Square. Enjoy a gourmet kitchen, full bathroom, and laundry.

The Space

Enjoy the rest and relaxation of your own studio in one of the coolest neighborhoods of SF! Located on a quiet tree-lined street, you'll enjoy this convenient oasis.

You'll have a wall to wall, and floor to ceiling windows which allow for awesome sunlight. The blinds can be adjusted for privacy or total darkness if you choose to sleep late. You get wall to wall carpet in this 400 square foot studio with a beautiful separate eat-in kitchen packed with appliances including oven, stove, fridge, microwave, coffee grinder/maker, and all the pots, pans, and utensils you'd ever need. Furnished simply with a convertible couch, coffee table, desk and chair. Large bathroom includes a full size tub and shower.

Guest Access

There is a shared laundry room in the basement. The front porch is a relaxing sun filled area great for breakfast.

Interaction with Guests

Keys in lockbox out front (I'll provide the code). Apartment is cleaned after every rental. I'll give you your freedom, just give me a call if you have a problem (which you won't).

The Neighborhood

Location, location, location! You'll be in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located in the center of the city. Nearby Alamo Square, Golden Gate, and the Panhandle are all dog friendly and runner friendly.
The nearby booming Divisidero corridor hosts a plethora of of cafes, bars, restaurants including the brand new Buy Rite. The possibilities are endless!

Getting around

There is free street parking easily available on my street. The only thing is that during the day, from 8 am to 6 pm, there is only 2 hour parking. So during the day you will have to move the car every 2 hours. Weekends are free parking all the time. It is the same throughout the city unless you happen to get lucky and rent an apartment (email hidden) included.

The 21 bus line is not even a block away which will take you downtown to union square, fisherman's wharf, or ride it the other way out to the beach or world famous Haight street. If you have a car, there is ample street parking. Other buses include the 5, 21, 23, and my favorite the Geary Express 38. Walk to hear jazz in Fillmore, eat in Japantown, take in the symphony at Civic Center.

Other Things to Note

Please note that as pets are allowed this is not a good rental choice for those with pet allergies.

  • I am so glad I booked Matt's apartment for my stay in San Francisco. It was just what I was (email hidden) that was also close to all the action. Divisidero Street is 1 minute away and has lots of cafes, whole foods shops etc. I decided to walk to most places but there were also plenty of bus routes nearby. It was great being located between the city and Golden Gate Park.

The apartment was very clean. Matt was excellent at responding quickly to my messages and at accommodating my check in and out times (particularly appreciated after a long flight there!).

  • It was such a pleasure staying at Matt's place. The apt was walking distance to great restaurants and cafés and just a short bus ride down Filmore to the water. Matt accommodated our needs and communicated promptly when messaged.

I would stay there again in a second.

    Thanks Matt!

  • Matt's place is exactly as it is described. The apartment had everything we needed, including complimentary coffee and use of dishes that allowed us to cook a couple meals. Matt was flexible in allowing us to drop our bags off earlier than the checkin time while the apartment was being cleaned. And, when our travel plans changed and we needed to checkout early, he was quick in his communications to alter the reservation.

    Overall good experience.

  • Awesome host, apartment + neighborhood.
Great communication from Matt every step of the way.
Little things like a couple of power strips for charging electronics + coffee beans ready to go in the grinder were greatly appreciated.

  • Matts studio was right in the middle of everything! We traveled with our dog, so we took a couple trips down to Panhandle park, which is just a couple blocks down the street, and were able to find parking easily when coming home after a long day of exploring the city. The studio was actually bigger than what we expected, the kitchen is very roomy, and the studio is clean and well kept. We fell in love with this neighborhood, in future trips we would definitely stay here again! Matt was very quick to respond to any questions, and checking in and out was extremely easy!

  • The room was nice and it had a nice kitchen. Good shower. Location is very convenient. Communication with Matt was easy. There is a dog odour at the house, you just to take out the dogs bed outside.

    Response from Matt:

I'm replacing the dog's bed so this won't be an issue moving forward. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Matts place was located in a very convenient area and only a few blocks away from the shops and restaurants on Divisadero. It was also in a nice/quiet neighborhood and the perfect place to relax after exploring San Francisco. Matts description of his apartment is quite accurate and was also very clean. He was also very quick and willling to answer any of my questions.

  • Matt's studio is perfect for the minimalist traveler. His place was exactly as described and offered a wonderful location for our stay. The space is roomy for a studio and house was clean especially the bath and kitchen.

Its all about location and Matt's place was ideal. We were in town for shows at The Fillmore, and it proved to be a safe and short walk to the venue. Shopping, restaurants and corner markets are also nearby. While located in the heart of San Francisco, the street is actually very quiet with tons of convenient parking.

As a host, Matt was very accommodating and offered a quick response whenever contacted. Very grateful, would most definitely stay again.
