Sallent de Gállego is a charming high mountain village located
in the heart of the Tena Valley, at an altitude of more than 1,300 meters, surrounded by imposing peaks such as the Midi d'Ossau and the Anayet. Its old town preserves the traditional charm of the Aragonese Pyrenees, with cobbled streets, stone houses with slate roofs, and a 16th-century Gothic church that dominates the landscape.
The Gállego River flows through the village, creating picturesque spots and trails around it that are ideal for walking. Sallent is also an excellent starting point for excursions, mountain routes and outdoor activities throughout the year. In winter, it is only a few minutes from the Formigal ski resort, one of the largest in Spain.
Despite its size, Sallent offers a good range of bars, restaurants, and small shops, making it an ideal place to enjoy the tranquility of the mountain without giving up comfort.
