We propose a 32 m2 modern style bedroom suitable for a couple and one or two children. Large Bathroom and toilets. Private access from the garden .
The house is at only 800m from the charming village of Sainte-terre where one can find all sorts of shops. We also run a small restaurant (creps and salads) in the village.
The river Dordogne stands in front of the house. The surroundings are perfect for a walk or a bicycle ride.
Breakfast is an important time for us and we like sharing it with our guest in the garden or inside the house (depends on the weather).
If you decide to visit nearby wineries, then we can provide good advice and make appointments with some of our friends.
There are many things see and to do in our area such as sports and leisures. Let's visit a castle, rent a boat for a few hours to discover the river, or walk in the "grotte Celestine"!
New ! we can arrange your transportation from Saint-Emilion station to our house depending on the trains timetables. We just charge you a few Euros to share the use of the car. Then you can use our bikes for your local trips.
Excellent accommodation in a beautiful part of France. The house was close to a river we could walk along and we had to drive past many vineyards to get there. We felt very relaxed in the room, it was clean and spacious. We enjoyed an evening in St Emillion, a short drive away. Our hosts were helpful suggesting places to go and we had a lovely breakfast the next day. We also booked with little notice, but Christine got back to us very quickly so we were able to stay that night. We would highly recommend this place for a short or long stay!
What a wonderful place to stay - quiet and beautiful contryside, on the bank of Dordogne river, very close to St.Emillion, with plenty of wineries along the short drive between the two villages to visit. The room is spatious, clean, new bathroom, comfortable bed, lots of information provided by the hosts and fast wifi.
Christine, Emmanuel and their daughter are very friendly and generous hosts. We enjoyed having breakfast with them, with home made jam, pastry and good coffee. They also knew a lot about the area and answered all of our questions. Lovely place to stay! Highly recomend it!
A warm welcome and a lovely restful place to stay. Christine and Emmanuel have a lovely place to share. It is right by the river, and has a lovely garden - where we had a picnic dinner! We took C and E's advice and went to St Emilion in the evening around dusk. It was a magic experience, we sat and drank wine in the town square in the shadow of the old clock tower as the sun set and the lights slowly came on. You will not regret staying here!
The short stay was delightful, the hosts welcoming and helpful, the Saint-Emelion area a scenic vista. Apartment below house is clean, tasteful and modern. Autumn and Winter perhaps not best time for a stay, and it is highly recommend you use a good map as Saint-Terre is not easy to find. The Rue that leads into village before the bridge is not marked, so you need detailed description of where to drive, so come in daylight. Only accessible by car. Spring and Summer would be a more enjoyable time to stay.
Christine and Emmanuel were wonderful hosts, going out of their way to accommodate us even when our plans changed at the last minute and we were unable to travel by car. Christine helped to set up a great visit to a vineyard/wine tasting within cycling distance and both she and Emmanuel were full of tips and advice for things to do in the area. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious (as was our dinner at their crepe restaurant in the village), and the village of Sainte-Terre with its surrounding fields and vineyards and the banks of the Garonne were delightfully calm and peaceful. A lovely base for exploring the region!
This bnb was exactly what we were looking for....welcoming and friendly :). We arrived late and had brought groceries for dinner and Christine provided everything that was needed to make our dinner perfect....including a beautiful deck only a couple of steps from the Dordogne riiver...wonderful.
