Our apartment is located in a typical pedestrianised cobbled street in the UNESCO world heritage site, the Albaicin. Just 6 minutes walk from the centre of Granada, the Cathedral and comfortable walking distance to all the major attractions.

The Space

The apartment is in an authentic rustic Albaicin "Casa de Vecinos" and boasts views of the Alhambra from the living room. Both the bedroom and living room have mezzanine floors made of solid wood which means there is space for up to 6 to sleep comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee pot and cooking utensils. Tea, coffee and other essentials are also provided for guests to use free of charge. There is free wi-fi coverage throughout the apartment and all bed linen and towels are provided. In the winter months there is a radiator for every room and an air heater in the bathroom which gives instant warmth (great for getting out of the shower comfortably on chilly mornings!).

Please note, if travelling by car, parking is very difficult in Granada and you cannot park in the street anywhere near the apartment. We recommend leaving the car in a car park in town and can give you more details if you need them.

I live just 1 minute down the road so I´m on hand to help with any information you might need about Granada.

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive use of the whole apartment and access to the small patio area just outside the apartment (where you can smoke).

Interaction with Guests

I am literally in the next street so I am always on hand for anything guests might need. I am there to meet guests on arrival personally so can answer questions on arrival as well.

The Neighborhood

The Albaicin is unique and most people fall in love with it almost immediately. It is like a village right next to the city centre. Traditionally a very artistic and musical part of town, it is full of character and life. In the local cafes and bars you can meet locals and travellers alike. Set on the opposite side of the valley (around 20 mins walk) from the Alhambra, there are fantasic views from many of the plazas and miradors. The cobbled streets date from the 14th century and before so the whole area is awash with fascinating history that you can see and feel.

Getting around

The area itself was built pre-car so it is almost entirely pedestrianised. The apartment is just 7 minutes walk from the centre and the number 31 bus goes to within 4 minutes of our street.

  • Rob's apartment in Granada is really one if the most authentic places I've ever stayed in. His apartment offers everything you need for a relaxing stay in the heart of Granada, not to mention the view on the Alhambra. Rob is a very kind and punctual host who provided us with lots of information about the best ways to get to the meeting point. He was also very accessible during our stay, helping us find our way to local shops (and a copy center for printing our Alhambra-tickets). If I were to visit Granada again, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

  • This was a great first experience with airbnb! We were met by a friend of Rob's and assisted to our place. The apartment was as shown in pictures and the kitchen was equipped well enough to let us cook meals with stuff from the local mercado. The place was clean, the beds newly made and comfortable. The lofts were a perfect place for our son to hang out in. While the apartment was country-cosy with cool floor tiles and wood ceilings, the bathroom looked newly updated with a large enough hot water heater to get all three of us comfortably showered. Rob left us plenty of towels, and the wifi was great - a must when traveling with kids now! Rob left the coach set up as abed for us since we were planning on sleeping in the bigger of the two rooms.

The neighborhood itself was about in the middle of the Albaicin neighborhood. It was quiet on the first night, but got a bit loud over the weekend late into the night, which we kind of expected.

All in all, a great experience and we would come back again and recommend this place. Thank you Rob!

  • We LOVED the apartment, and Rob was super! We were having such fun in Granada that we forgot to check out on time, and Rob very nicely allowed us to delay checkout so we could enjoy a late lunch.

It really felt like a home away from home. Be prepared if you have a heavy suitcase, there is plenty of stair climbing to get to the apartment in that neighborhood, butRob was great about helping us. Would definitely go back!!
