Interaction with Guests
I have quite a busy schedule so you can expect to have the place mostly to yourself, however I can always be reached by air bnb message , text or phone with any questions or concerns that may come up. Despite listing a 4:00 pm check in, I do try to keep my check in and check out times flexible, so please advise me about your expected arrival and departure times as early as possible and I am happy to accomodate alternative check in and check out arrangements!
Wolseley is one of Winnipeg's oldest and most beautiful neighourhoods. Streets are wide, lined with huge elm trees and lovely character homes. Omands Park, only a short distance away is the start of a fantastic running route that can take you all the way to Assiniboine Park. Head east from my place to find some funky little locally owned shops, restaurants, and cafes. Head west and you'll be at Polo Park Mall in 5 minutes by car or 10 minutes if walking. The Winnipeg airport is a mere 15 - 20 minute cab ride away depending on the time of day.
From this location, you'll find a super convenient, major bus route is a mere 3-4 minute walk from the house. From there, downtown is about 10-15 minutes by express bus or car. Alternatively, you can walk to downtown in about 25 minutes. Polo Park Mall has everything you might need and is only a 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive / bus ride!
It is highly advisable to get to and from the airport by taxi. It's the most direct and convenient way and costs less than $20!
Other Things to Note
If you're traveling by car, I have a free parking space available. Please request the use of this parking spot on advance of your stay. Parking on the street is restricted by the city to a 2 hour maximum from 9am - 530pm Monday - Saturday.

I am a long-time vegetarian, so I have provided specific pots, pans, cutting boards and utensils to use for meat preparation in the kitchen. Please use only these for cooking meals containing meat or fish.
Xena & Babs are indoor cats. Please be mindful of leaving doors open so they don't wander off.
Space in your private room to relax, read or watch TV, The couch can also be converted into a second bed if requested.
Karin was a very welcoming host. I had to arrive earlier than the check-in time, but she accommodated my early arrival no problem. The house is located in a quite and nice neighborhood close to downtown. I used Winnipeg transit system to get around the city and it was very easy to get to Karin's house at any time.
A nice, clean room in the basement. Convenient to get to downtown. You will meet a kind host and a cute black cat. Kitchen is well equipped, and breakfast well provided.
I arrived late at night and was able to find the house very easily once I remembered the house address. The house is in the perfect location to get to and from the airport. Breakfast outside on her lovely sunny back patio was perfect. Thank you for having me. If I stay overnight again ill certainly return.
Karin's house is perfect.
Though it was very short, she and her cat are friendly and kind.
The house is clean, well-arranged, well-decorated.
I definitely recommend Karin's house for traveller at Winnipeg.
Karin was very accommodating and her home is easy to locate. It is clear the she knows how to be a good host and if you ever have a question there is probably a note nearby to help you out. When we arrived we were looking for somewhere to eat and she had a lovely recommendation for a healthy restaurant nearby. Shower worked great and the bed was comfortable! There's Netflix on the TV and the guest area is well furnished and laid out.
Very helpful with instructions provided to the residence and inside the residence. House was clean and bed was wonderful. A quiet, pleasant stay!!
I arrived her house by taxi. The pare from Winnipeg Airport was $18.50 as she noticed : $15-$20. The driver used his IPhone as a navigator. I had no problems at all when I got there.
Karen showed me everything I need inside home while I stay there.
She has got two lovely cats.
When I opened my door, the cats from time to time visited me and rub their face to me.
Most of all, she treated me not only as a guest but also as s friend. That's the biggest reason that I want to visit there again if I have a chance to go to Winnipeg.
Until I leave Winnipeg, I think I had a great treatment from her and people in Winnipeg.
About the Host, Karin
I really enjoy meeting new people so hosting through Airbnb is great! If you're just passing through town or staying for awhile, I can offer you a cute room in a cozy little character house nestled in one of Winnipeg's most beautiful neighbourhoods. I work full-time, take classes, and play music on the weekends sometimes, but I still manage to balance out my hectic schedule with a regular yoga practice and quailty time with my two cats, Xena and Babs.
My place is casual, quiet, and very relaxed.
Look forward to meeting you soon!
