Great one bedroom one bathroom condo in sw Portland only a couple of miles from downtown Portland. It is close to the Nike World Headquarters, Intel, St Vincent Providence Hospital and the Max line. This is an excellent and upscale neighborhood. Lots of beautiful trees. 600 Square Feet. Easy parking right next to condo. The parking space is only a few feet outside the condo. The area is very beautiful and close to a strip mall where there is a 24/7 grocery store, QFC. Also near the condo are Starbucks, a tanning salon, restaurants, a bar, a hospital and a pizza restaurant. All are within walking distance and some are just across the street from the complex. • Everything we hoped for and more! Traveling as a family it is nice to have amenities such as a full kitchen stocked with coffee maker. Plenty of towels and comforters. My only comment is we could have used more pillows, but that is a personal opinion. Close to everything!
We only hope it is available next time we come to Portland, as we do plan on using it again.
    Thanks Sam,

  • Sam's place is very centrally located and is close to the major freeways. Sam's communication was good. There is a good value in this apartment listing. The amenities are basic and very adequate.

  • Here is why I thought Sam's Condo was ' amazing': it was only a half mile from where I worked and I was able to walk there when the rest of the city shut down during the snow storm ( very important since I'm a nurse and many nurses couldn't make it into the hospital during that time because of where they lived) , I'm a no frills kind of person. I like basic . This condo was adequately basic with all the amenities I needed without clutter. I was there in the winter when things are more stark anywhere, but when the trees start to bloom, I can imagine sitting on this balcony having a cup of coffee in the morning and enjoying the privacy and beauty of the trees!

This condo would be a PERFECT place for family members to stay if they had a loved one in the hospital at St Vincent. The #20 bus takes you right to the hospitals front doors and runs about every half hour. And the rent is very reasonable, accomadating an unexpected short stay if you needed a place to stay for that reason.

Shopping at QFC very convient. Just up the street about ablock and a half. Had I driven a car I would have had my own parking space at the condo.
I very much appreciated the convience that this place offered me and found Sam to be an easily reachable host.

Will ask to stay here again should it be free;)))))

  • No complaints. Sam was great, check-in and parking were easy. Even has a fireplace if you bring some wood. Up in the hills so removed from the city a bit. We also enjoyed the purple silk sheets on the bed!

  • We spent two nights in Sam's apartment and for such a short visit the location and the facilities are perfect.

If you want to find faults, the kitchen is not as well equipped and the apartment itself is not quite as clean as I know it from other places. Also, the bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom, which is why our father did not sleep quite as well ;)

Still, if you compare the price with the offer, you definitely get enough for your money and aside from the negligible criticisms, we really enjoyed our weekend there. Portland is definitely worth a visit!

  • Great location, clean place! Sam was awesome, making sure we got into the place even though we arrived late at night and a day late! Thanks Sam, we had a great time in Portland with a nice place to stay!

  • My friend and I came down to Portland for a short trip from Seattle and the apartment was great! Exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway of wine drinking and story telling. Everything was clean and ready for us. The Internet and cable were a huge bonus and the heaters warmed up really fast so we could be cozy! Having the bus right outside of the complex was so convenient, and there was even a little plaza within walking distance for groceries and things. Would definitely stay again!

  • For my purposes Sam's place was just right. It's not fancy but it has everything needed. I do recommend bringing your own sheets and an extra pillow, but it's not absolutely necessary. Stores and restaurants are within walking distance and though I didn't need to take it, there's a bus line close by as well. If you don't need to be right in the city, Sam's place is great.

  • Sam was a great host: he called me couple days prior to arrival to clarify expectations and made sure I was able to get the key to the place on the day of. Didn't get to meet him, but he made it easy for us to get in and out, so no complaints here!

  • Caution advised! No A/C, no W/D, not enough linens, and then after we get a full refund - leaves us a bad review!!! We did not stay at Sam's because he did not have the amenities that were claimed on his listing. Afterwards, Airbnb gave us a full refund. Sam left us a review in which he admits that he did not have Air Conditioning, but leaves out that he also did not have a key available to us to allow us to use the Washer/Dryer that was in the building though he did list these as well. We did need to do laundry and truly were relying on this as we were arriving late, with kids, and didn't have time to go to a laundromat as he suggested. Additionally, we found the home to be less clean than the other two Airbnb homes we have stayed at and there were not enough linens even though he specifically asked if we needed them and then said it would be ready for us (not to mention they are required by Airbnb). The bed had only a single flat sheet over the bare mattress and a comforter - no top sheet. There were no linens provided at all for the futon even though our reservation was for four and we discussed that the children would sleep on the futon. Given his complete failure to provide the minimum (amenities listed and linens) we were given a full refund. Then, after all that, he wrote us a review basically claiming that we had stolen some plastic cups. Geeze! I can assure you that we did not take any cups. Prior to discovering the lack of A/C and linens, I had used a few of his paper towels when I cleaned crumbs off the counter and cleaned off the stovetop which was dirty. Otherwise I left everything just as it was - from the unidentified pill and ball of hair on the carpet to the used tissues in the bedroom wastebasket. - Of which I have pictures which were sent to Airbnb. I advise caution before booking!
