You have access to touristic information and connections to travel around the country. There's a shared Tv room at the house's living room and a nice terrace to enjoy a sunny day, read a book or have breakfasts.
There's a kitchen that you can share at the house (people staying for longer terms have the priority).
We offer laundry service, tours around the country, birdwatching tours and transfers to the airport.
Interaction with Guests
I live at the house with my daughter and husband. We usually welcome guests ourselves and share time with them, we're national guides and speak english fluently. If we're not at the house, our employee will be always willing to help you (he doesn't speak english though), there's always somebody willing to help you at the guest house.
Though in a calm street, you'll be steps away from Plaza Foch, the place you want to be for food and nightlife, coffee shops, all types of restaurants, bookstores, hospitals, pharmacies, churches, travel agencies, souvenir shops, the artisan market, malls, gyms, Spanish and dancing lessons, ATMs, etc.
As any other City Center anywhere, you have to take care walking by yourself at night, but you can always take a taxi for a dollar or two and get back home at night if you went out alone. The house is very safe inside, we control who gets in or out and have good locks and an alarm. Our staff is very trustworthy.
The guest house is only open for people with previous reservation, so you and your belongings will always be safe as there's no people from the street allowed inside.
The house is surrounded by transportation options, there's Ecovía and Trolebus a few blocks away from where you can get almost anywhere in the city. We can call a cab for you that will pick you up at the door or you can get one on the street just a few steps away from the door.
For a 2 dollar taxi ride, you can reach the old town in only a few minutes. If you like to walk, this is a great place for you since you can get to El Ejido or La Carolina parks by foot.
Parking spaces are hard to get in this neighborhood, you can rent a place for the night around the corner like we do and during the day you can park at the door (the parking meter is 0.40 cents/hour).
If you're coming from the airport, you'll get to the city in 45 minutes to one hour on a taxi that should charge you around 25 USD.

About the Host, Lorena
I'm a guide in Ecuador with 9 years of experience, I love to work with people, I usually guide in the wilderness. I'm spending a lot more time in Quito lately because I'm a mother now.
My partner and I organize tours around the country together and love to host our clients and guide them around. He's been a guide for about 25 years and love to share his experience with our guests. For us this is a very serious matter since we love to travel too and we know how important it is to find the best place to stay, with the best services.
Looking forward to meeting more new people from around the world.
It's been a great experience so far!
