About this listing
This studio is very private and peaceful. Secreted away at the rear of a historic west end house on a quiet one-way street, this is a great place to retreat to. The house was built in 1830 and at various times was a ship captain's home and later a headquarters for rum runners.
The studio maintains much of that historic atmosphere. The hardwood floors are original and the shower was built out of stone and concrete.
Yet all amenities are very modern and new, including high quality appliances, bed and linens.
The bed is in an alcove which helps make it feel separate from the open studio floor plan.
French doors lead to a new deck that offers both sun and shade and is a great spot for reading, sharing dinner and drinks or just listening to the birds chirp away.
The West End of Provincetown is considered very desirable as it is closer to the national seashore, convenient to downtown, yet considerably quieter than other Provincetown neighborhoods.
Enjoy, relax, restore!
The house maintains a tone of conscious courtesy. Quiet time is from 11 pm to 8 am. Visiting and socializing are wonderful, but this is definitely not a party house.
Patricia's studio was the ideal spot for our first vacation in Provincetown. The location was convenient to the center of town and in a wonderful quiet neighborhood full of gardens and cottages. Patricia was super friendly and available when we had questions or needed things (lending us extra cooking supplies and even veggies from her garden). We could not have asked for a more perfect setting for a vacation. The studio is beautiful and well appointed with a good kitchen for cooking, a comfortable living room area, and light-filled bedroom. The patio was a truly tranquil space which we enjoyed often after the beach, the bike paths and the town... all conveniently nearby. I could not recommend Patricia and her studio more highly! We would book with her again in a second.
We had a great experience staying at this studio in the West End. Patricia, the host was very accommodating and the place itself is full of such charm and history. It's the perfect size- a great layout with a full kitchen and a very cozy bedroom filled with light. There's a large private deck that feels like an extension of living space- creating a great place to hang out and relax after a day at the beach. The location can't be beat- very close to Commercial street but far enough for a little bit of quietude and relaxation. If you are considering this place, I highly recommend it!
This is not a luxurious space, but it is comfortable, private, quiet, airy, and within an easy walking distance to restaurants, galleries, wharfs, beaches, etc. There is desk space if you want to hook up your laptop and do some work/correspondence. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, coffee-maker, flatware, etc., so cooking and eating in was not a problem. There is a parking space, but it is a good 3-block walk away. We arrived a couple of hours before we had planned, but Trisha was gracious and accommodating. Altogether, it was a very nice experience.
I had a wonderful experience staying at the studio! Patricia met me right as I arrived (with fresh greens!) and also sent me some fabulous recommendations for things to do and places to eat. As a first-timer in Provincetown, the local insight was very welcome and helpful! The studio had everything one could want, great kitchen space, porch, super cute bathroom, a comfy bed and WiFi. I had a lovely time and definitely hope I can come back again!!
Highly recommended. Close-in West End location. Quiet. Charming, bohemian ambiance. Quirkily curated appointments with a good eye for found objects, especially in the well-equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean. Patricia was unobtrusive and at the same time very responsive to my requests. Flexible. No reservations at all in recommending this apartment as a base in Ptown.
Cozy, quiet and comfortable. The studio had all we needed and the deck was a real treat.
Studio just as subscribed. Quiet and calm, with a spacious feeling, due to thoughtful arrangements of furniture and small treasures where one's eyes naturally rest. Comfortable bed. Nice to have the options of cooking meals in the small but well equipped kitchen or going to one of many nearby restaurants. Enjoyable walks to the East End and to Herring Cove beach.
