We are the owners and we live upstairs. We're here to help if you need anything. We keep this unit for guests only, so there isn't much personal clutter, just a few touches. Note that this unit is on the bottom floor of the building, so you will hear footsteps and the occasional dropped object above you. There are also small children living in the building, so you may hear those sorts of noises as well. We try to be respectful of your peace as much as possible, but if you are particularly sensitive to sound, this may not be the right place for you.
Feel free to contact us with any questions.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in Todd and Amy's studio. The studio itself was beautifully put together with tons of natural light. We had a blast walking around, shopping, eating and drinking in the Castro and Mission area. Todd and Amy were even kind enough to leave a map with excellent recommendations on where to go and what to see. The location couldn't have been more convenient -- right in the mix but on a quiet, charming neighborhood street. We'd absolutely stay again.
We really appreciated Todd and Amy's prompt responses to all our queries.
We felt welcome from the moment we opened the door to their Mission studio. It was spotless - the bed was extremely comfortable and the couple of beers in the fridge were very gratefully received - a nice touch. The universal adapters were also a nice thought. We enjoyed trying out the white noise machine but didn't find any noise bothering us.
It's a delightful place and so convenient to get to downtown San Francisco and the piers either by the historic tramway or the subway. Mission itself is also fun to explore.
Frances' restaurant (almost opposite) might be worth booking before you arrive - and don't forget to pre-book a trip to Alcatraz! They book up well in advance.
Todd and Amy's tourist information was invaluable.
This was our first experience of AirBnB and we were very favourably impressed.
Thank you Todd and Amy!
Todd and Amy were great hosts and the apartment was as good or better than as described, a really nice place.
The location is a short walk from the Castro with the cafés, bars as well as the F line tram which goes all the way to Fisherman's Wharf, easy to use and safe walking back late in the evening. Ideal for the evening tours at Alcatraz.
Valencia St in the Mission is a short walk away, full of bars and restaurants and a great way to spend the evening.
If you fancy exploring further, the trams and buses are only $2.00 per trip and allows you to get to the all the other great neighbourhoods of San Francisco. There are stops close by so no excuse not to explore. There is also the BART stop nearby which is 2 stops from Powell Street and Union Sq.
This was our first time in San Fransisco and will be coming back next year. It is a great city with a real good vibe.
It was also our first time using Airbnb and thank Todd and Amy for hosting us in such a great place. We would have no hesitation in stopping here again.
Huge thank you to Todd and Amy for providing such a wonderful studio to use as a base for exploring San Francisco. Clean, modern and comfortable with everything you need to self cater should you wish. Extremely close to public transport and stores in a clean safe feeling area. Far enough out of the city to get a good feel for what SF has to offer but close enough to quickly get to everywhere you might want to go. As mentioned in listing you can hear the pitter patter of little feet upstairs during day but as we only spent evening/night in studio so it was no issue for us. Todd was easily available to contact if we required anything or had questions but left a great map of area with places of interest marked. So far our best airbnb experience yet!
This was a very spacious and comfortable apartment. Everything we needed was there. We bought a European converter plug, only to realise later that there was one in the flat already.
We enjoyed the neighbourhood. It was quiet and walking distance from the metro underground. We even walked with our luggage from the Bart station when we arrived (and when we left). The pavements are broad and quiet enough to trolley your suitcase behind you.
We preferred the restaurants in the Mission district to those in Union Square (thanks for the tip, Todd). They were a close 10min walk from the flat.
I would seriously recommend this aparment to friends or anyone that prefers a quieter, yet interesting, neighbourhood while visiting San Francisco.
Thanks for having us, Todd and Amy
We stayed 5 nights with Todd and Amy and thoroughly enjoyed the Studio. Its location was fantastic , so close to everything such as transport, restaurants and coffee shops. The Studio had everything we needed with lots of space and also very secure. We were very glad we stayed here rather than in a Hotel as we were able to meet quite a few locals and the meal on our last night at the Restaurant across the road was superb. We only regret that we had not made our stay longer.
We loved staying at Todd and Amy's. The place is nice and well decorated. We really loved the bed, it was huge and comfortable. It has everything someone can need. The location is great to visit the city by feet.
We had a wonderful stay at Todd and Amy's studio! The location was wonderful and provided us with many options for food, public transportation, shops and groceries! The studio was extremely clean and felt like home away from home. Todd was prompt in communication and offered up some great food suggestions, along with a very helpful map/city guides to navigate the area. We really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our trip!
We had a wonderful stay in the perfectly maintained modern spacy and light studio in a quiet neighborhood. Something small was missing in the kitchen and Amy got it for us the same day! Perfect service!
My girlfriend and I just returned from our stay in San Francisco at Todd and Amy's studio in the city and this has been one of our best experiences ever with AirBnB (they've certainly all been great, but we loved this one especially). Their place couldn't be in a better location, right in the heart of Castro and Mission, plus steps away from transportation so you can be anywhere in the city in no time. We were able to head out to Treasure Island, North Beach, Twin Peaks (one of the coolest views around), Haight...it was all so easy. Communication was quick and easy as well and we were able to meet Todd during our visit and he was an amazing host. The apartment itself is perfectly set up - for a studio you have everything you would possibly need and the space is put together perfectly, with lots of nice touches that makes it feel like it's your own place. We were out and about during the day, but it was great to come back to such a nice spot that felt more like a home than a hotel. I certainly can't say enough good things about the visit - if you're heading to San Fran and doing a lot of exploring this is the place to do it from. Thanks again Todd and Amy, we look forward to coming back!
PS, when you're in SF you need to go to Ike's Sandwiches. It changed my life.
