At the Marshall Stage Stop, we are kid friendly, dog/horse friendly and old people friendly :-) Your Inn Keepers are Cyndy and Stella. Large sprawling farmhouse sits on 7 secluded acres, remodeled in 1970, it is very vintage with a western flair. There is lot's of elbow space, large lawns, two patios, hot tub, sauna, plenty of room for kids to run and play. Property is 1/2 mile north of Bend City limits, but very secluded and private. Surrounded by 80' Ponderosa Pines and Juniper trees. Close to shopping, restaurants, the Deschutes River Trail and Tumalo State Park.
The Marshall Stage Stop offers TWO Bedrooms for rent: $75 per night / per room. This Airbnb listing you are looking at is to reserve both bedrooms on one reservation for up to 5 persons. (Rooms can be reserved individually for $75.00 per night for fewer occupants, by searching for my other Airbnb listings for either the "Cape Cod Room or Fishing Room.)
The Fishing Room has a four poster queen bed, with a love seat that pulls out for a twin hide-a-bed. There is a full bath adjacent to The Fishing Room that is shared.
The Cape Cod Room sleeps 2 ~ has a comfy four poster queen size bed, it is very sunny and airy with lots of windows, a private entrance, and an adjacent full bath with a sauna that is shared. There is a 2nd full bath with tiled shower near the Fishing Rm that is also shared.
You will have the run of house, lawns and patios, we will do our best to give you your privacy. If you desire to do your own cooking and dine in or on the patio, you are welcome to full use of our kitchen, etc. Each morning I will provide muffins, fruit, coffee and tea. I'll be happy to make you a "Green Smoothie" on request :-) The hot tub is available 24/7. After a day of adventure in Central Oregon there's nothing nicer than soaking in the hot tub under the stars, surrounded by 80' ponderosa pines with snow flakes melting on your nose or watching the falling stars and listening to the tumbling creek nearby...
I have a Pak & Play (portable crib) available for babies/toddlers.
WI-FI ~ We now have Hi Speed inet for your use. Sorry though, there are no TV's in the bedrooms, but that shouldn't be a problem though, as you are coming here to relax and play in Central Oregon's outdoors right ???
HORSES ~ You are welcome to bring your own horses whether you are passing through, here to explore the area or here to participate in a local equine event. The horse facilities aren't fancy, but they are secure and safe. The fee for horses would be $25.00 for the first 2, plus $10 for each additional for the length of your stay. You will provide your own feed.
I look forward to hosting you at The Marshall Stage Stop on your next visit to Central Oregon.
There are two full shared bathrooms. You are welcome to use the sauna, hot tub and BBQ at your leisure. If you desire you have full access to our spacious kitchen. There is a mini frig in the kitchen for your personal use.
Interaction with Guests
I available 24/7 for anything you may need and at the same time will give you as much space, privacy and freedom to enjoy our property.
The Marshall Stage Stop while only one half mile from Bend's city limits, it is a very rural and private property. You can not see any neighboring homes, we are surrounded by natural pasture, juniper and ponderosa pines. We are very close to shopping, restaurants and old downtown. The Old Mill District is apprx 5 miles, St Charles Hospital is 5 miles, and Mt Bachelor is only 25 miles.
If you are flying in for a special event, (wedding, concert, funeral...) I would be happy to help you with transportation for a nominal fee.
Other Things to Note
We do have wildlife that frequent the property, deer are quite regular guests. If you let your dogs off leash, bare in mind that they may be enticed to chase the deer, who will leave the property and may lead your dog into dangerous situation. (property is not fenced)
If you are bringing your canine family with you, upon arrival I ask that you keep them inside your vehicle until I greet you and show you where they should potty :-) The property is 7 acres, I only ask that you be vigilant to not allow them to pee or poop on my lawns. The rest of the property is fair game :-)
I ask that you not use candles or other incendiary items in the house or on the property. I do have a couple of tiki torches that you are welcome to use on the patio.
You are totally welcome to use any kitchen items, cooking utensils and ordinary spices/ condiments that I have.
We loved staying with Cynthia at Marshall Stage Stop! It was perfect for my hubby and I and our daughter as we were in the Bend area to take in the incredible experiece of Crystal Peak Youth Ranch, which is less than 5 miles away from this property.
Cynthia's warm hospitality and the hot tub under the stars were the highlights of our stay.
Cynthia was a great host. We really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub!
Staying at the Marshall Stage Stop was a great experience for us! I booked both rooms for a night during Valentine's weekend and it was fabulous. The grounds are beautiful and welcoming. 4 of us stayed overnight, two to a room. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet there. Cynthia was an excellent host and offered up coffee and muffins in the morning. We used the hot tub and were able to see the stars in full splendor! I'd definitely recommend staying here. Thanks Cynthia!
We loved staying at the Marshal Stage Stop during our recent ski trip to Mt. Bachelor. We enjoyed use of the hot tub, sauna, and large kitchen. And the beds are so comfortable! Cyndy was a wonderful host and made us and our dogs feel very welcome. We will be coming back.
We had a great time staying with Cynthia at the ranch. She was very knowledgeable about the local terrain and gave us great hiking recommendations which turned out to be amazing. More than that, she was friendly, engaging and a warm host. I would definitely recommend her place and hope to stay again soon on my next trip to central Oregon.
