The Space

Welcome to Jersey City & NYC!! This is your host Thomas =)

You will be moving into a private room. Full size bed. Very clean and tidy as advertised.

Free WiFi and utilities.

Free access to all kitchen cookware and appliances including microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, washer, and fridge. [except for food]

Free all day and night long street parking 1 block away (1.5 mins walk to the West). Free 2 hours parking (unlimited nights and weekends) right at the door steps. You do have to move the car twice a week for street cleaning on each side.

In downtown Jersey City. Clean and safe neighborhood. Lots of local restaurants along Newark Avenue.

The apartment is located on the corner of 3rd street & Newark. I would say it's a 7-9 mins walk to Subway. 2 Subway stops to downtown and midtown NYC (6 minutes ride). Fare is $2.50 each way / $1.9 per way for 10 trips.

No Hidden fees. No cleaning fees. Please keep the place reasonably clean.

I prefer short term leases but long term inquires are also welcome.

Please feel free to send me a message with any questions. I respond instantly.

I look forward to meeting you!! =)

Cheers,
Thomas

  • Thomas is a great host. He replys very quickly to emails so despite his absence this week-end there, we communicated well !
Tidy apartment, comfortable room and towels available.
The neighborhood is safe. There is even a French restaurant next door "Madame Claude Café" !!
Housed just few minutes walking to PATH to join NY !

  • We had a very pleasant stay over the weekend. Thomas was a great host! Very hospitable and homey apartment. The place is close to Path train (grove st), convenient for returning late at night from NYC. Would definitely consider it again!

  • My stay was pleasant. Though there are several places to go out and eat in the area, the ability to have dinner in the eat-in kitchen provided a of home comfort feeling.

  • My friends also stayed a bit longer than l did. Thomas' place is conveniently located near a liquor store and lots of bars and restaurants. We would recommend checking out a local bar called BARCADE. It is a bar and an arcade all in one. Also for breakfast off of Grove street go to Las Americas restaurant, it's a little cafe with the best coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice I think I've ever had. Good apartment in a good neighbourhood!

  • My friends and I arrived to the Grove Street station and were delighted to find downtown Jersey City to be very pleasant. It was a brief walk to Thomas' place, during the walk we passed by countless cute cafés, restaurants and bars. When we arrived Thomas' head popped out the window, he proclaimed he was on his way down. Thomas was very friendly, he invited us in and had water ready for us. The place was clean and we had plenty of fresh towels. The house rules were straight forward and we had a great weekend. This was my first time using Airbnb and Thomas helped make our first experience a great one.

  • I used airbnb for a weekend in Jersey City for an annual event. Thomas was very accomodating; it was a seamless process. He met me as he said he would to exchange keys and show me around.
The place is located in walking distance stores, and restaurants. It is a short walk to the train for a quick hop into the city as well.
I would definitely stay here and recommend to other friends in the future.
    Thank you Thomas.

  • We stayed only one night but it was a pleasure meeting Thomas and other guest (from Italy).
It was easy to book the place, Thomas didn't even worry about the deposit which didn't go through with my card. Also was very friendly and hospitable and helpful :) It's shame we didn't have that much time to chat.
The place is really nice and bright. The kitchen is big. Nothing too fancy though. A bit loud in the left room but there was a choice of rooms anyway.
I would recommend Thomas and his apartment. And the price was awesome.

  • Best hospitality yet....felt like I was home... close to transportation. ...food areas...and peace....would recommend

  • Enjoyed our stay with Thomas. This was my first time using airbnb so I was a little apprehensive. I work for and stay at Hyatts, but I was pleased. Almost like being home with roommates? Thanks Thomas! Will gladly stay again and continue using airbnb for future outings. (Pardon misspells, no reading glasses)

  • The apartment is really nice and clean, and Thomas prepared all the necessary cooking utensils for us to use. The neighborhood is a ten-minute-walk from PATH station and is really close to the Newport center as well.
My friend and I had a great stay there. Recommend to u all.
