City living at its finest! Private room with bath in renovated brownstone in East Cambridge.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
If you are going to visit Boston and Cambridge, this is the place to stay. I am located in East Cambridge - near Kendall Square, MIT, Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Boston - with easy access to everything Boston and Cambridge have to offer. The Museum of Science, the Galleria Mall, and the Charles River are a short 3-5 block walk and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
Accessible by the Lechmere (Green Line) subway “T” Stop (7 minute walk) and the Kendall Square (Red line) “T” stop (15 minute walk). The 69 bus is 2 blocks away and it conveniently loops from the Lechmere T to Harvard square.
Cambridge has a HUB bike rental system located at the Lechmere and Kendall T stops. You can rent bikes using a credit or debit card and use the bikes for a day or more for very reasonable rates. You can return the bikes to the same place or to anywhere there is a center.
Your private mini-suite features:
- Private entrance with patio seating
- Queen-size bed with new pillow top mattress
- Room features a small sitting area with sofa, arm chair, coffee table, desk, and book shelves. There is a bureau and plenty of closet space.
- Private bathroom (you won't have to share while you are here!) with towels and toiletries
- Other amenities: hair dryer, iron and ironing board, refrigerator, TV with DVD/VCR, and Wi-Fi.
- This space could easily accommodate a family of 3-4 as the sofa converts to a small bed.
I love to cook, entertain and meet new people. I share my home with my Bichon, Skipper and my cat Oggi. They are quiet and love to meet new people, too.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Jenny's place was cozy, comfortable, lovely, and immaculate, and Jenny was an extremely responsive and gracious host. I hope to return!
Jenny was accommodating, friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and spacious.
Jenny is a wonderful host. She is very thoughtful about details like room temperature, warm breakfast with fresh fruits, coffee and hot tea, and where to park, which made me feel like at home. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. The location is unbeatable for visiting both MIT and Harvard. Both Skipper and Oggi are so adorable. Thanks for everything! Will be back!
We stayed in this suite for four nights and found Jenny to be an extremely welcoming and gracious host. Although we had a last-minute request on the day we arrived, she was very accommodating and made a sincere effort to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The suite is in a residential area, so it's ideal for those looking for a quieter location.
We had a great, extended weekend at Jenny's. With all the activities each of us had during the stay, we hardly crossed paths, but that didn't make us feel any less welcome. Jenny checked in with us about breakfast, about heat, about comfort in general. The neighborhood is quiet, inviting and convenient, as is the home! When we were around, we utilized the wonderful 2nd floor living area and its nice, flat screen tv. We would definitely book another stay at Jenny's place.
Jenny was the perfect host! I was in town to attend the Head of the Charles Regatta and her home was convenient for either riding a bike or taking the T. Her home was just as described in her profile. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was super comfy. She invited me to join her dinner party she was hosting for neighbors on my last night there which I thought was very thoughtful and kind. I would definitely stay at her home again.
Jenny was extremely sweet and hospitable. Her home was brimming with beautiful cultural pieces from all around the world, it felt like a museum. Every corner was filled with something new and interesting to examine. She was very helpful, providing travel instructions and keeping several tour books handy for us to browse through. Her dog Skipper was an angelic fur ball who kept us company during our morning ritual of toast and coffee. After touring Boston into the very late hours of the evening, we were welcomed back by the smell of delicious food she had made for her family. The aroma from home cooking made the experience of a bed and breakfast all the more appealing. We plan on coming back next year, and maybe if we are lucky she will make a delectable dish for us!
Thank you Jenny!

A little bit about me…
Originally from Florida, I found my way to New England via Spain where I lived and worked for 10 years! I have resided in Cambridge for the past 8 years and love everything it has to offer. I know the city well and can give you tips on things to do, places to see, and where to eat!
I am a Spanish teacher and I love every opportunity to meet new, interesting people from other places. I love to travel, cook, and spend time with friends and family. I share my renovated Brownstone with a well-behaved Bichon and my little cat, Oggi.
Hope you will plan to visit, I would love to host you.
