The space

" La Casa Azul" is a charming apartment very well located inside a Morish house.
It was restored on XVII century, and you will be able to appreciate how buildings were in that period.
The house is located in Paseo de los Tristes in Granada. This is one of the most beautiful streets in the world. In addition, it is close to the river Darro, and you will enjoy of the stunning view of the Alhambra only a few steps walking form the house. In this street you will find lots of nice shops, tea places, and bars. You will enjoy of a very nice time.
The house has a small balcony that provides a remarkable view of the Alhambra. The rooms are very comfortable and all of the apartment has a lot of light.
There is free WIFI
Getting there:
Walk from the cathedral (in Gran via de Colon)) takes about 5 minutes
By bus: the minibus number 31 and 35 have stops just a few meters far from the house, from the Cathedral in three stops , and from Plaza Nueva in two stops
By car: It is complicated to get to the house by car, this area is open to traffic for buses and taxis only
From RENFE: autobusues (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) stand in front of the Cathedral, from here you can get just a short walk or take the microbus 31 or 35, which stop just a few metres far from the house

Victoria is a delight, as is her lovely home. Due to train schedule problems, we were about three hours late to meet her to check in but she waited for us (and also enjoyed some good local beer at a tavern at the end of the street). She was so helpful in orienting us to the city, its bus lines, the routes to the Alhambra (which one can see out the window of her home). The lovely apartment is in the historic section, several minutes' walk to the plaza where the tourist buses depart and close to some nice restaurants. It is charming, complete, and very suitable for a couple.

Victoria's flat is located the down part of the Alabacin, along the Darro river. If you have heavy luggages think booking a taxi that is cheap anyway. Otherwise it's easy to walk there, and the location is very pleasant. The flat has what you would expect for having a pleasant journey. Victoria is very nice, at your service for any question.

The flat was really amazing: peekaboo view of Alhambra, little balcony, great natural light, separate shower and toilet rooms, lots of space, easy walk to everything.. Area a little touristy, but easy to get out. Great Price flor how simple increíble is was.

I had a pleasant one week stay at Victoria's apartment. The apartment has beautiful tile flooring, lots of space, and is in a great location to explore Granada's historical sites. It's on a quiet side street, close to Plaza Nueva. I highly recommend the apartment for a long weekend / week's stay. Victoria very much wants her guests to enjoy their visit. The air conditioners work well and there's ample hot water for showers. The kitchen is beautiful and well stocked. Victoria even supplies toilet paper, a rarity among AirBnB apartments in Spain. The WiFi worked well, but has a ridiculously long 20 character password. During the week the street is very quiet. However, it can get noisy on weekends due to a dormitory style lodging across the street that attracts students (no fault of Victoria's). However, as the photos indicate, there are no drawers or closets to put away clothes. Instead, there's a pretty metal rack on which to hang things, but no furnishing to store T-Shirts, Polo Shirts or undergarments. In addition, while the washing machine works well, there is limited space to hang clothes to dry outside a small window. Finally, I would not recommend the apartment for those with knee problems, as the apartment I stayed in had two flights of stairs to climb. In sum, it's a great apartment for up to a week's stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything longer.

Great location! Right in the middle of the old city and by the Al Hambra. The apartment itself was very beautiful, and equipped with everything you need.

This was a fabulous stay. The apartment is right in the middle of the historic district the Alhambra is outside the window or across the road and up the hill. You can walk from the apartment around the corner to a variety of cafes or a few blocks down to the Centro or up the hill to Sacamonte where the flamenco bars and scene is. The apartment was clean, traditional with tiles and shuttered windows. But it has air conditioning which was helpful since we were there during record heat. Best is Victoria herself, she was there when we arrived, is totally welcoming, she seems to know everything about her city which she obviously loves, and everyone knows her. She will tell you where to go and see if you ask. She is very modest but a poet herself. A wonderful experience we hope to return sooner rather than later.
