Description

The space

Located on the 3rd floor of the building, this room of 150 sq feet harbors a queen size bed, a dresser, a night stand as well as a very handy closet. Recently added wood floor, give a warm feeling to the room. A key to the place will be given to you upon arrival. Perfect for very short travel

Guest access

The apt has all the amenities for a comfortable stay: internet, AC/Heat, Cable TV and wifi in the living room, kitchen wares, This spacious room is furnished with a queen size bed, a dresser and a closet.. You may have to share the kitchen, bathroom and living room with other guest.

Interaction with guests

I work mostly from home so I am available for the most part, except when I am due in court.

The neighborhood

Under a full gentrification the neighborhood has recently seen the rise of buildings and the implantation of supermarkets, bars, coffee shops and restaurants even a sports complex. Laundries are in a two blocks radius, in certain instances you may grab a coffee at the Dunkin donuts across the street, while your clothe are washed dried and folded.

Getting around

The room is located 2 blocks from the G train ( the Green line). This line is directly connected to the L (Grey line) will help you to reach Manhattan in 20mn, or the A train(the blue line). That is the line you will take to come to this room. You will stop at Hoyt Schermerhorn and hop into the G until Bedford Nostrand. When you come out, you may call me, I will gladly come fetch you, or for $8, you may take a cab(because of the luggage) to reach the final destination. In any case, I will be there to welcome you.

Other things to note

Since I also rent to other travelers, you may have to share the living room, the kitchen and bathroom. I live on the first floor of the building, so if you need anything, just call me (I don't always hear the knock on the door.

It was my WORST experience with airbnb at all. The living room have no AC so no one can stay on it during anytime. The area is not clean and Christine said that there is a cleaner who suppose to come every Sunday but I have never seen him. The kitchen was dirty and I saw a mouse once but Christine keep telling me that no mouses could come because she have a cat down stairs. The neighborhood wasn't that safe * especially at night * . And the location was 15-20 minutes to the metro station * so if you don't like to spend your whole trip while walking from an to the metro just select another place *. My room was so dirty when I arrived, it even have a bad smell as if some one died inside. So sad that I spent 3 months while living there but I couldn't cancel the reservation because the money wasn't refund.

The neighborhood is very good, there metro stations within about three blocks away and is easily reached by bus. I felt great in the house certainly stay again . Christine also thank her husband who welcomed me!

Nice place, good and affordable start point to explore New York! Christine is a quite busy person, so you'll better be on time to check in properly!

I am originally from Cameroon and also France. We live in Brooklyn for the past 10 years and have two children. I own my brownstone and have two apartments on the 2nd and 3 rd floor with few bedrooms each that we are renting. All the rooms have been renovated. If you want a place to stay in a nice apartment, you should contact me.
