7 room boutique hotel all with private ensuite bathrooms 5 with Jacuzzi baths. Parking, Wifi, cable tv. We offer our guests the best prices of any downtown hotel while giving personalized service that larger chains can't match.
We are less than a block to the nearest bus stop. Why we consider us unique is that our heritage building offers all the modern conveniences with out losing its heritage charm. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are quite large. We offer guests the very best service and conversation as we are a small boutique hotel we can spend more time with guests one on one.
Guests can relax in our living room and enjoy a coffee or tea and some fresh baked cookies!
Interaction with Guests
We are here to chat with guests from morning to night everyday.
We are in the center of downtown so whats not to love about our location we are steps away from restaurants, pubs, theatre, attractions and waterfront.
Bus stop a moments walk also a taxi stand around the corner.
No smoking and guests are to be quiet and respectful of others on property.
We were met by a very nice employee who showed us to our room and explained that the hotel was staffed from 0730 am to 1030 pm. Coffee and tea was available during those times. The young man suggested some restaurants where we could get breakfast and we chose Leonhardt's which was terrific.
The neighbourhood appeared to be in transition and several houses near the hotel we would term as "seedy". On a positive note, we could walk to a lot of downtown attractions and restaurants.
While this hotel is called a "boutique" hotel, it is in need of refurbishment. The room was clean and quiet but very small and the room's furnishings were shabby. I do hope that the building is restored but completely understand the expense that involves.
The location is great, central to lots of shopping and eating possibilities, as well as the waterfront. The hostess gave us a complete orientation. The bed was comfortable and the space was clean.
Great location. Quaint hotel within walking distance of downtown. Quiet. I enjoyed my stay immensely.
We had everything we needed while staying here. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Great location, close to restaurants and the water. Unique decor too!
We stayed at the Colonial Charm Inn, since the Canada Select Boutique Hotel was fully booked. It is a lovely B & B, with truly charming decor and comfortable rooms. We needed to arrive late, and Gary MacDougall gave us clear directions on how to access the key and find our way to our room. We felt very much at home.
Charlottetown is lovely, and we were able to walk to the center of town in a pleasant 10 minutes, so nice after a 2 day drive. There was parking right at the B & B, so there was no extra expense for stashing the car. We loved it, and hope to return in the future!
Plus: good location. Liked the big bathtub. Clean.
Not so good: too dark. Blind in room broken. Very noisy throughout night from adjacent bar and room cleaning noise adjacent to ours (noisy vacuum). Staff indifferent to whether we were happy with choice. No breakfast. We feel way overpriced, will not stay again nor recommend to anyone.
We had a good reception and a wonderful stay. The host was very helpful and accomidating.

I am married to Shelley MacDougall and have 2 kids. I operate a few businesses but value my time with family the most. I like to travel, read, go to movies spend time at the cottage with family and friends. My latest interests are life hacking and as always working out, computers and gaming. My travel style is to stay in mid to upper style accomodations but finding a great price via internet research.
